Two Months Later

"Harry, stop...you're annoying everyone in line behind you", said Zayn, whispering into Harry's ear.

Harry stopped bouncing on his toes and looked around him quickly. "Oh, sorry", he said to the older couple directly behind him.

Ever since Zayn and Harry had dashed off to Paris, Harry was like an excitable child. He couldn't sit still, he kept wandering off in crowds, he ran into people because he was too busy looking at all the sights. Zayn was wishing he had one of those child-harnesses to rein him in.

"That's ok, dear, it's exciting isn't it?" said the older woman with a thick British accent.

Harry nodded, "yeah".

"Is this your first time in Paris?" the older gentlemen asked.

"Not mine", answered Zayn, "But it's his, although you could probably tell", he said with a smile on his face.

"Oh, I remember our first trip to the Louvre", said the older woman, "Back in 1989, wasn't it Frank?" she asked gazing up into the eyes of her husband of 35 years.

"Sounds about right", he answered back quickly, as he gazed down at her adoringly.

As the line moved ahead, the older couple split off into another part of the queue, but they both smiled and said, "You boys have a wonderful time".

Zayn and Harry smiled and waived their thanks.

"Seriously, bro. I know you're excited, but you're really driving me crazy", said Zayn grinning at Harry. It was so nice seeing him like this. Harry was so happy and excited, he was trying to control himself, but he kept shuffling his feet, anxiously waiting to enter the Louvre.

Zayn had decided they needed a vacation, so he had arranged a trip to Paris as a surprise for Harry. As an artist, he knew that Harry would appreciate seeing the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay as well as all the other historical and cultural sights he had planned for them to visit. He knew Harry had only been out of California once, and he'd never been out of the country before, so this trip was a big deal for him.

Zayn had been to Paris twice before, having spent nearly two months there after he graduated from college, so he was excited to be back as well. Although it had been several years since his last visit, Paris was still Paris and the sights, sounds and smells were thrilling to see, so he understood how excited Harry was. But still, of all the sights in the City of Lights, the most adorable one was Harry, HIS Harry.

They'd been in Paris for three days already and they had already gone on a bus tour, had seen the Eiffel Tower, and had walked for hours and hours along the Champs-Elysees. But nothing was more exciting to Harry than visiting The Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay. They had decided to dedicate a whole day to The Louvre and a whole day to the D'Orsay. Zayn knew that was what Harry wanted most, and he was happy to experience it all with him.

"We're in, we're in, Zayn", Harry whispered excitedly, as the queue had moved along enough for them to be inside the building. Zayn was wishing they had booked a private tour so they could skip the queue all together, but in some ways it added to the excitement of them being there. In line, they could see hundreds of people from all over the world who were excitedly speaking to one another with friends they'd come with, or meeting people from other places and chatting casually. It was a sight to behold in and of itself. It made it an even more unique cultural experience.

Harry was buzzing with adrenaline by the time they paid their entry fees, his huge green eyes taking in the view of the museum as they wandered from room to room. Zayn let Harry take his time, experiencing everything for the first time. "I can't believe we're here. I can't believe I'M here", he said, as he looked at Zayn quickly before his eyes darted off elsewhere.
