Unknown Feeling

When Rose have fallen asleep, Taehyung didn't noticed at first. When he heard soft snoring, he turned around and found her sleeping form. He tilted his head slightly and stared at her figure.

The longer he was staring at her, the clearer he could see the smallest details on her face that shined in the moonlight. He was looking at every inch of her face like she is some kind of precious gem.

He felt that he was being creepy for looking at her like that. But.... He couldn't help it either. It was as if he was drowning to her. He didn't want to admit it. But deep inside he knew that he had already drowned to her.

'I have never felt this before. It's so overwhelming' He thought and sighed.

While looking at her sleeping figure, he closed his eyes for a brief moment. Then again,

He felt his heart beat.

He clenched his heart by putting his hand on it. He took a deep breath. He still doesn't know why did it happen but he doesn't want to dig into it either. Because he was afraid to find the truth. His instinct was telling him to learn about it. But at the same time, he would stand grounded in his place.

He opened his eyes and stood up from the sit. He slowly walked to Rose's couch where she was sleeping. He crunched down in one knee right beside her head. The wind was flowing her hair that some of the strands flew on her eyelids.

'...B-Beautiful'

It was so foreign for him to say something complementary. Especially when it comes to a lady. He never, I mean never complimented a lady before.

He slowly raise his hand to softly brush away the hair strand from her eyelids behind her ears. His eyes were soft, staring at her now closed eyes.

Without even him knowing, he gently started to Caresse her left cheek. He recreated the scene when he stepped into her room, wanting to stay near her. That was without any specific reasons. Then the moment she was staring at him and said,

"I-I missed you"

He was startled at first by her words. But, he strangely felt tingles in his stomach for that. Then it hit him like a thousands of truck, that...

He missed her too.

He stared at her shocked expression and gently smiled.

'that is something i didn't do in decades' he thought.

He slowly started to believe that it was because of Rose. Maybe she reminded him of his grandmother. That's why. But.. at the same time, there was a another thing that his mind was telling him about Rose. But he couldn't comprehend it.

When he snapped out of his thoughts, he finally noticed that his hand was on Rose's cheek. His own cheek flustered at that. Suddenly his breath hitched, when she stirred at her position and rested her head on his hand.
She didn't even felt uncomfortable on his palm.

And also he didn't felt offended at all. His mind was racing. No.. his heart was racing. It was now in a rapid speed.

"What are you doing to me, Arin Rose?"

He stared at her. His thumb is now caressing her cheek.

"What is it within you that I can't figure out? Tell me"

He knew that she couldn't hear him but still he spoke a piece of his heart.

He couldn't find the reason behind sudden affection for her, doing anything for her, the feeling that wants to stay with her, protectiveness and his heart being beaten is an amazing phenomenon.
