Fearing The Worst

Author's Point Of View:

It's been two weeks since Lucifer arrived in the castle. No one thought that Lucifer would stay this long. Everyone becoming so alert then before. Because it's so unlike Lucifer's character. He never stayed in the castle more then one day. Whether be it was a business or relationship for the two kingdoms, he never stayed this much long. Taehyung became very anxious for this. He was secretly keeping an eye on Lucifer and his men. So as the others.

Everyone noticed how Lucifer would wander around the castle like he was looking for something, but didn't want to acknowledge it by others when being asked. He changed his behaviors drastically too. Like, he is too nice with the maids and servents too much to their liking. As if he will try to sneak an answer to his possible motives.

Obviously, He can be nice with maids. But the problem is he never acted that way before. So it's very disturbing for the princes and princesses and so the King. Of course, they knew what possibly be going on in Lucifer's head. And, Taehyung was praying in his head that its not what its seem like, praying that its not what it looks like.

He hopes that Lucifer's sudden act doesn't consisted anything surrounding Rose.

His mate. His newfound life.

He really hopes that he is just imagining things. Telling his mind over and over again to stop being delusional and everything is okay as long as Lucifer doesn't inhale Rose's addicting scent.

Lucifer is like those predators, who will do everything in their power to manipulate others and take everything he wants. So cunning. So undetectable.

Even with unimaginable powers, Taehyung feels concerned. What if he can't save Rose if something happens? What if he had to lose Rose?

Even this thinking, making the said man quiver. He just found his mate. He just got to know how is it actually feels like to be in love.

Thinking all of the worst sceneries in his head, he can't help but feel the great urge to see Rose's face. He didn't get to see her in these two weeks for the fear of getting caught by some vantenians and distroy everything. The last thing he wanted was to Rose get hurt by his foolishness.

"Love makes you weak...but strong at the same time"

Namjoon's words were ringing in his head.

He smiled to himself softly at the memory.

He still remember the day when Namjoon told this specific line when he found Lilly. But Taehyung didn't listen to him and said that "this is delusional and pathetic" right on Namjoon's face. Namjoon didn't react to it because he knew the outcome anyway

But now, Taehyung can feel the intensities of the said sentence.

He is feeling weak. Yes, he does. But at the same time, he is feeling stronger then ever. He always felt alive whenever he is around Rose. Like she just poured streams of life in his whole body which was practically dead. His dead heart felt alive.

Taehyung closed his eyes for a brief moment.

Rose's face painted on his dark vision. He remembers every single detail of her face. Her smile. She is the one who is basically keeping him sane.

Taehyung opened his eyes and saw the twinklings of the stars across the dark night. Gentle breeze was blowing past him, calming his nerves a bit. It was like the wind was trying to tell him to calm down.

But, like as always, Taehyung can't help but fearing the worst possibility of what could happen in the future. What does the destiny hold for them?
