It was a silence.

Dead silence.

Between the two confused vampire and human. Taehyung and Rose.

Taehyung regretted every single second of it. He knew, he knew that he shouldn't have told something like that bluntly. But he couldn't stop it from coming from his mouth. It felt like natural to him. Before even he himself noticed it, he just said it.
The past 1 hour there with Rose was just silence. There was no eye contact at all. Taehyung sometime would bow to the fellow vampires who would come by their table for a small greetings and that's it.

That was the only thing available between the two.

Rose, was slightly shaking. Due to surprise and maybe... for an unexpected confession? She didn't know. But there was goosebumps all over her body.

"I don't have the power...to stay away from you...Anymore"

Just when Taehyung said that, she felt the goosebumps all over. A shiver ran down to her spine. At that moment, they maintained a long stare at each other. But only cut off by the waiter who just came to ask if they needed anything. After that, they didn't even looked at each other.

She would just listen to the vampires talking with their beloved king.

It slowly became too awkward. So, at the middle of Taehyung talking to some towns vampires, she finished her drink and stood up to go to outside for a fresh air.
And that's when Taehyung spoke up when he saw her standing up.

"W-Where are you going?"

He shuttered a bit. Cursing himself for it internally. He had a worried expression on yet stern.

Rose, didn't look at him in the eye. Still facing the main door, she said,

"I am going outside where the horses are."

She maintained her posture and calmly said that.

Taehyung understood that she doesn't want to explain further. So he didn't question any further either. And for also, he can feel her emotion about what happened earlier. So he didn't stop her.

Still keeping eye on the back of her head, he watched as she walked away from the restaurant to outside. In that moment, he somehow felt pain. Which he didn't felt years and years.

He felt that he may somehow made her sad.

The two fellow vampires watched the scene in silence. They were married couple.

The woman vampire had a smile on her face as she watched that happen. So was the man's.

The woman subconsciously asked,

"Can I ask you something, my lord"?

Taehyung finally turned to them. To the woman, as he heard the question.

He just reassuringly nodded to go on. Still thinking about Rose.

"Is she your mate?"

The couple was excited to find the answer. Because all they thought was a 'yes'. After all the conversation they heard of Rose and their king, they were pretty sure that she was indeed his mate.

Yes. They heard their intimidating conversation. Taehyung forgot about the fact that a vampire can hear things from miles away. And then they were just in a mere restaurant. But luckily, it was just the staffs and the couple. No one else was present there when Taehyung said that to Rose.
