It felt like I had been watching Claire try on wedding dresses my whole life. The room where we were sitting was big with white walls and mirrors everywhere. I shifted as I sat on the bright orange couch in between Liam and Harry. I was currently regretting my decision to wear one of my gray pencil skirts today. Liam’s head kept dipping down and then snapping back up. My eyes would close and then I would force them open again. I was running on half an hour of sleep. We were at the bar late and then I stayed up and caught up on all my work.

Claire came out on another dress and started babbling on about it. I learned after the first hour that she wasn’t really looking for an opinion I was just there to capture the moment when she found the perfect one. After 2 hours I doubted that would happen in this lifetime. Liam’s head finally lost the battle and ended up on my shoulder. My eyes closed and I forced them open again. Harry hummed quietly beside me. He had been practically silent the whole time.

“Can you not?” I snapped.

“Not what?”

“Hum. You aren’t a bee.” Harry laughed.

“That’s a new one. What do you call a bee that doesn’t know the words to a song?”

“What?”

“A mumble bee! Get it!” Harry laughed again and I rolled my eyes.

“How long did it take you to come up with that one?”

“Don’t be so grumpy Miss Knight.”

“Maybe I wouldn’t be so grumpy if you stopped humming Mr. Styles?”

“Fine.”

“Thank you.”

Claire came out and disappeared back into the dressing room. 5 minutes couldn’t hurt, I told myself as I closed my eyes.

I woke up with my head on Harry’s shoulder. He was looking down at me with a small smile on his face. I blinked and tried to remember what was going on.

“Claire said she found the perfect dress. She wants you to see it.”  He said, his eyes gleaming. His breath smelled like mint toothpaste. I wrinkled my nose and tried to sit up but Liam was sleeping practically on top of me. I gently pushed him away and sat up and ran my fingers through my hair. I checked my watch.

“5 hours we’ve been here?” I said in disbelief. I looked quickly at Harry. “No offense.”

Claire came out before he could respond. She looked beautiful in a strapless white dress with gold detailing. I smiled for what felt like the first time today.

“This is the one.” She announced.

“I like it.” I said, already writing down the details.

“It’s the first one she tried on.” Harry muttered.

“Do you like it Harry?” she asked.

“It looks lovely dear.” He said.

“It looks nice. Can we go now?” Liam asked, suddenly waking up. I laughed and Harry and Liam joined in. Claire shot us a look and we were suddenly silent.

“I don’t know. I think this one makes me look fat.”

“Here we go again.” Liam muttered.
