"Ivar?" you call your husband once you entered the room.

"Yes, my little dove," he replies. He grabs your wrists and pulls you in between his legs whilst he sat on a stool.

You smile and peck his lips a few times as Ivar's rough hands gripped onto the flesh of your hips. "I am coming too, right?" You question, looking at him hopefully. "With you and your brothers? To the war?"

Ivar slightly narrowed his brows. "Of course not."

Your features changed into annoyance. "Why not? You know I'm fully capable of fighting. You were the one who taught me everything there is to know."

"Apparently not." Ivar replied, he held onto your shoulder for support as he stood up, instantly towering over you with a darkening demeanour.

"You are quite stubborn and hard-headed. I need to teach you that those type of qualities can get you killed. And I cannot have that. I cannot lose the most important person in my life, my little dove."

"B-but I - "

"I said no!" Ivar shouted, making your eyes widen.

"You need to understand I'm only doing this to protect you. That is the end of our discussion, (Y/N)." After a few moments of glaring at one another, he looked past you and summoned someone with his hand. "Lock her in the cellar. Stand guard and make sure she does not escape."

"No. You can't." You object, clutching onto his sleeve. Two men held onto your arms and pulled you away from your husband. "Ivar, please!" But your husband yanked his arm away from your grip and dismissed the three of you whilst he heard the echos of your screams and protests down the halls.

This was only to protect you as he knew that he'd somehow lose you in this battle and he loved you too much to allow that.
