Anna’s POV:
I walked among the strawberry fields, inhaling the sweet scent. I loved strawberries. I picked one and took a bite from it. Wow, they are very sweet. I began picking some more strawberries and putting them into the container Mae gave me. She signaled me to the strawberry fields while running off to the raspberries. The girl knows me too well - I'm a strawberry fanatic as Mae is with raspberries. So I obliged and ran off. Now here I am, in complete peace, picking the deliciously sweet strawberries.
The all of a sudden I felt a hand on my shoulder. I thought no one knew about this place, or maybe it was the grounds keeper? I jumped a bit but stood there, not daring to turn around, that is, until I heard that voice,
“Um, hi.” The voice says. Even though it was only two words, I'd recognise that voice anywhere - I’ve heard in countless interviews, video diaries but mainly in concerts when he is speaking to the audience. That voice belonged to one of the five boys I adored and it belonged to the one I had a soft spot for. I slowly turn around and my suspicions were proven right. There, in front of me, stood one of the hottest boys I have ever seen. Liam Payne.
“Uh… hi.” I stutter, shock running through me. What was he doing here?
“How did you find this place?” he asks. He’s been here before?
“Ummm, my uh friend brought me here.” I’m usually not like this. I’m usually very confident when I speak to someone, whether I know them or not. But for some reason, it’s like that Anna is nowhere to be found and she has been replaced with a shy, scared teenager she once was.
“Oh, um okay.” He says.
“How did um, h-how did you find this place?” I ask, curious as to how he knew about this place too.
“I used to come here as a kid.”
“Oh” I reply. Afterwards there is an awkward silence. I’m at a loss for words. THE Liam James Payne was standing in front of me. Then he speaks again, in that amazing British accent of his.
“Can you do me a favour?” he asks, raising an eyebrow nervously. I just nod, unable to form words.
“Can you not tell anyone about this place. It’s just this place is very special to me and I don’t want anyone knowing about it. I’ll do whatever you want. Autographs, concert tickets, pictures? Just tell me and I’ll do it.” Wow he must really want this place to stay quiet. I consider it ... Anything I want. I could ask for money, and by the desperation in his voice, he would give me it. But I can’t do it. I’m too nice. I can’t take anything from someone without feeling the need to give something back. I hate giving money to people because then they feel the need to pay me back ... And I don’t really like that for some reason.
“Um yea sure, I won’t tell anyone and you don’t have to give me anything.”
“Really? Not even an autograph or picture?” He asks, curiosity lurking in his voice. It must be odd coming across someone like me. Suddenly, all my confidence comes rushing back.
“No thanks, I’m good. I can see this place means a lot to you, so I’ll keep quiet. It’ll be our secret.” I say with a wink. Okay, that was creepy rather than confident, but he just smiles.
“Thank you.” He says.
“No problem.” I reply.
“I’m Anna” I introduce myself.
“Hi, I’m Liam.” He says back also seeming more comfortable and confident.
“Yeah, I sort of know already.” I say. He may as well know I’m a fan.
