Anna’s POV:
It’s now 3:00 am and I’m still wide awake. I look over to the bed next me and I see Mae, sleeping soundly as if what Liam and Zayn told us wasn’t terrifying. Well to her it probably wasn’t. But when a directioner finds out they are about to meet the other 3/5 of their favourite boy band, they tend to freak out. Or maybe that’s just me. Either way I can’t sleep a wink as I replay what happened in my head
~Flashback~
He kissed me. He kissed me in front of paparazzi. I was over the moon. It wasn’t rushed and heated like our previous make-out session but it was still passionate. Our lips moved in perfect sync as I ran my fingers through his silky hair and he grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. When he pulled away, he grabbed my arm and we sprinted down to the beach where we saw Zayn and Mae. Mae had her legs wrapped around Zayn’s waist and they were currently kissing. Nothing new really. Liam and I sat down on a rock and waited for them to pull away. After a minute they do and Zayn looks over to Liam who winks at him. Mae drops her legs and they come back over to the rocks and we all relax for the rest of the day in complete bliss. The paparazzi had taken their pictures and left just as quickly as they came, but I’m not complaining.
After about another 2 hours of tanning, we pack up and go home. On the way to the car, Liam and Zayn began talking about something, but they were so far ahead that I couldn’t hear them well. I heard our names in their a few times, but I never mentioned it to Mae.
“What do you think they are talking about?” I ask Mae, my curiosity getting the better of me and I hoped Mae might have known. No such luck.
“I have no idea, but I heard our names a few times.”
“Yea me too.” I reply
“They are probably discussing a certain slutty girl named Anna!”
“WHAT?! MAE!”
“Don’t ‘What Mae’ me. I saw you too making out. Not so innocent now, are ya? You seemed to be really into it too! Never knew you were like that Anna.” Mae exclaimed, elbowing me playfully. My cheeks burn a bright red as I look down, unable wipe the smile off my face. It was a good kiss.
“Yea well... Shut Up!” I exclaim, laughing and shoving her a bit. She laughs back, but I’m not sure whether it is from the push or from the lame comeback.
We continue walking until we reach the car. We get in the back and Liam and Zayn get in the front. Liam was driving and we were all smiling and having a fun time…until Liam says those words.
“Hey girls. Zayn and I have been talking and since you are now our official girlfriends, we think it’s time for you to meet the other guys in the band!” Liam exclaims with enthusiasm and Zayn just smiles widely and nods.
~Present~
I roll over in my bed, hoping a different position will help me get to sleep, but I just can’t. I don’t hate the other boys from One Direction. Quite the opposite actually. I like them so much I’m worried they won’t like me. That they will start laughing in my face and then Liam might think he made a mistake and break up with me and I’ll end up alone while my best friend goes around the world with her new boyfriend. Then Liam will marry some pretty girl, have 3 kids and live happily ever after while I end up an old lady with many, many cats, even though I don’t like cat and that’s just ONE possibility! I hope they like me. I hope they don’t laugh in my face and we all get along well. We just have a nice laugh and eat and drink and have an overall great day. All of a sudden, I begin to feel drowsy. I continue with those thoughts and soon, I’m fast asleep.
~The next day~
“CALM DOWN ANNA! MY GOD!” I hear Mae shout at me from across the living room where we were currently in. Mae was trying clothes on in front of the mirror on the door as it was very big while I jump up and down, nervous about what is about to come. Mae and I are supposed to meet our boyfriends downstairs in an hour and I haven’t gotten ready yet! I have been so nervous about making a good impression that I haven’t even attempted to look good. My palms are sweaty as I continue jumping, much to Mae’s annoyance. She just doesn’t understand though! She hasn’t fan-girled over these boys for 2 years! They have made me feel better when I’m sad, sick or hurting and they are just overall AMAZING.
