I unconsciously bit my lip. Bakit ang lakas ng pandinig niya?

"I-it's none of your business." Napamura ako sa utak ko nang mautal ako.

He walked slowly, clenching his jaw.

Kinalma ko ang sarili ko kahit parang gusto ng kumawala ng puso ko.

Anne Claire, you bitch! Bakit ba hindi mo kayang icompose ang sarili mo pag kaharap mo siya ha?!

Pinutol ko ang titigan namin at pinulot ang nahulog kong cellphone.

"AC? What's happening there?" Tanong ni Gia.

"Sorry bitch. I'll just say it to you later. Bye." Inend ko na ito at napahinga ng malalim.

Ramdam na ramdam ko ang masamang titig niya. "None of my business? It was me, Anne Claire. I was the one whom you called jerk." He said with his gritted teeth.

"Good that you know." Tumayo ako. Muntikan pa akong mapaupo ulit dahil sa panlalalambot ng tuhod ko. "Truth hurts isn't it, sir? Now if you'll excuse me."

Nakaupo lang ako sa may upuan malapit sa pool. I sipped my long island iced tea as I watch people do their business at the pool.

I caught some cute japanese guys staring at me, but I didn't mind them and continued sipping my iced tea. I'm not in the mood to flirt right now.

Oh yeah, I'm wearing a black backless one piece suit covered with a see through dress. I won't lie, it's a bit cold here, thank gosh they have a heater.

Nang maubos ko na ang tea, hinubad ko na ang see through dress at naglakad ako papunta sa may hot tub malapit sa swimming pool.

I closed my eyes when I felt the warm water touch my skin.

"AC?"

Napamulat ako nang marinig kong may tumawag sa pangalan ko not just long enough.

I saw a familiar face walking towards me. Napangiti ako ng kaunti. "Laurent?" Tanong ko na nagpangiti rin sa kanya.

"Wow. I'm a bit flaterred. You still remember me. Long time no see by the way." Tumabi siya sakin.

I laughed. "Of course. I wouldn't forget a close friend in college who had dealt with my mood swings and crazy stalkers before."

Isa si Laurent sa mga kaclose ko noon sa college. I was comfortable with him because he let me do things that I wanted to do na matino. Take note, matino.

Mabait din yan. He's like a big brother to me. Mukhang playboy din siya but believe me, he's introvert too. That's why we have almost the same taste in things. May mga times pa na nagseselos na si Gia sa kanya noon. Funny that they became together after na mapaamin niya si Gia na sa akin na pala nagseselos at hindi na sa kanya.

As a matter of fact, they're exes and as their relationship was ruined, so is their friendship. That's the saddest part.

"Don't forget the thesis part. That's the highlight of it all."

Napairap ako ng pabiro. "Nyenye."

"Still childish, huh. What are you doing here? On vacation?"

I shook my head.

"No. Business." Sagot ko.

Tumaas ang kilay niya. "Really? Is that you, AC?" Tumawa siya. Naiinis na hinampas ko siya.

"What about you?" I asked him.

I can't lie. He's bulkier now. And his new hairstyle made him hotter.
