"Do I really get to go to the fight?" Elsie said excitedly over an early dinner with Finn.

"Yeah, everyone's going. Ada, Lizzie, Linda and Pol. You can go with them" Finn said and her smiled wobbled.

"I won't be with you?" Elsie asked.

"Just not at the start" Finn said, adverting his eyes to his plate.

"Finn" Elsie said warningly.

"Okay, so I might have to work but I'm not sure"

"So you might not actually be with me at all?" Elsie then asked and he nodded, "of course" Elsie rolled her eyes and pushed back her chair and stood up.

"El, where're you going?" He asked quickly.

"I'm going to pick out a dress" Elsie shot him a look, "might as well dress up" she trudged up the stairs and into the spare bedroom where most of their items still were since they haven't had the time to organise everything properly.

She went through her dresses and picked out one she hadn't worn yet and shimmied into it. She found a pair of heels which would go with it and placed them on. She spent a while trying to get her hair right, placing it up and using an abundance of pins to keep it in place. She then worked on her make up.

"El, I'm leaving now, Pol and the others will be here in half an hour" Finn shouted up to her.

"Okay" Elsie replied loudly. She heard the faintest of sighs before she heard the door click open and then closed again.

Elsie finished her makeup and grabbed her purse, she made sure to leave her gun behind, knowing that theses types of events they wouldn't allow weapons in them.

Polly and the other women were being driven to the event, Elsie got in the vehicle with them and they made their way to the arena.

When they walked in, the other three women looked extremely confident and gorgeous but as Elsie saw that all eyes were on them, she shied behind the women, following them like a shy puppy, stumbling around aimlessly. They got to their seats and sat down together. "Elsie, lift your chin up and smile, try to look like you're having fun" Polly told her almost commandingly from their front-row seats.

Elsie put on a smile and watched as the two men got in the ring, the crowd erupted into cheers as the two began fighting. At one point Lizzie went to the toilets and Polly followed shortly. Ada, who was also sat with them, also left.

Elsie and Linda were left behind before Linda made a disgusted sound, "I think someone just spat on me" she stated, sounding utterly disgusted. She got up and Elsie, not wanting to be left alone, joined her.

As they walked into the lavatory, Ada, Polly and Lizzie were all smiling and holding each other. "Hello, Linda, Elsie" they greeted.

"Welcome to the extraordinary general meeting of the Shelby ladies club" Polly smiled.

"Is there spit on my back?" Linda questioned, trying to look at her back in the mirror, "the men out there are spitting, it's fucking disgusting"

"No. No there's no spit on your back" Polly said, Elsie watched as Linda started pouring some cocaine onto the counter, "don't let us stop you doing what you came in to do"

"What? It's helping me get through the fucking nightmare of being stuck in the city" Linda said defensively.

"Well, since you're here, and you too Elsie, and you're both almost family, Lizzie's got some news"

"I'm pregnant" Lizzie said.

"Congrat-" Elsie started before being cut off by Linda.

"Oh. And who's the father? Have you managed to narrow it down?" Linda said sarcastically.
