"Finn!" Elsie whined as she led on the sofa, seven months pregnant and getting rather big. "Finn!"
"Yes, El?" Finn walked into the room, trousers on, shirt off, with wet hair, dripping on the floor.
"My back hurts," she complained, "my feet hurt, I hate this."
Finn softly sighed, "I know, El, but I can't help with that. You've only got a couple of months left." Finn went over and crouched next to her, holding her hand.
"I know but it hurts, I want them out of me. I miss riding the horses, I miss doing everything for myself," she began crying.
"I know, I know. You'll get through it," he said soothingly. "Should I phone Ada or a midwife to help?"
"N-no, I don't want to bother them," Elsie told him, "are you going somewhere?"
"I need to head back to Small Heath," he told her.
Elsie frowned, "really? Again? You promised me that you'll be here for the last couple of months."
"Month eight and nine, El. You're at seven," Finn pointed out, "I'll come back as soon as I can." Finn kissed her frowning lips before heading back upstairs to finish getting changed.
Elsie groaned and sat up, lightly touching her swollen belly, "let's go see the horses." She told them, walking with a slight waddle. She made it to the stables and found Molly coming back inside with Paint. "Hello," Elsie greeted, "good ride?"
"Paint is doing wonderful," Molly smiled, climbing off of the horse, "how are you doing?"
"Everything hurts, I feel achy," Elsie began to list before she shook her head, "I need to stop complaining."
"Complain all you want," Molly told her, "oh, where's Finn off to?"
"Going back to Small Heath," Elsie narrowed her eyes at the car as it drove down the driveway. "He's working more to get money for the babies even though I told him I'll pay for everything," Elsie rolled her eyes. "I can't stop him and I think I'm going to give up on trying."
"Oh," Molly said, placing Paint in her stable and started untacking her. "He wants to be the breadwinner, doesn't he?"
"Yeah, but he can't because I earn more than him. Well, at the moments it's almost equal as I haven't had as many clients as before since I'm pregnant. Enough about me, how's Finley getting along?"
"He's doing alright, I've started getting him used to wearing saddles and within a week I might try a bridle."

Another month had passed and Elsie could firmly say that she hated being pregnant. Now that she was big, she couldn't move around as easily as before. She spent most of her time sitting in bed or on the sofa reading books.
She was beyond bored in her own home and she felt useless. Now that she had Finn back home, he'd do everything for her, doing even the simplest tasks that she could easily do, like washing the dishes. Elsie wouldn't have minded so much if he did that when she wasn't pregnant or if he didn't do it as much. But with him doing it constantly, it frustrated her to her breaking point.
Elsie looked up from her empty plate as Finn placed a hand on her shoulder, "El, you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," she told him, moving the chair back and standing up, holding her plate and cutlery.
"What are you doing? I could do that-" Finn went to grab the plate off of her but she stepped back.
"Finn, stop it." She told him sternly, "I'm not incapable of doing the fucking dishes!" She then shouted, "let me do something around the house, I feel like you're taking everything away from me and I don't like it!"
