10. Aftermath

After a night passed, the School Life Club and the Lucky Star Crew met up at the school. They shared their satisfaction of seeing each other alive.

Now they decided to clean some of the school. However at one point Yuki started to break down for no reason, and Konata later talked to her.

"Now Now Yuki. What happened?"

"Well... I... I think I am beginning to wake up..."

"Wake up?"

"I see one of my classmates.... Rotten, eyeless, and he tried to kill me! I killed him with a broom before he did so!"

"Oh Yuki, that was just a bad dream! Just forget about it."

"Yeah... You're right, Konata. Thanks for cheering me up..."

"Don't mention it."

Days later the School Life Club decided to leave the school, after graduating, which they set up by themselves, and after everyone has done their speeches, they bowed outside, facing the school building.

The Lucky Star Crew saw this, and they smiled.

"The car won't be enough for the 8 of us." Kurumi noted.

"Well, somebody's gotta sit at the trunk!" Konata joked.

And as a result, because Yuki takes it too literally, Konata was forced inside the trunk of Megumi's car.

"Just great. I shouldn't have asked that." She chibi-cried.

The car drove out of the school area, shortly before passing the gates, Miki saw one zombie who seems familiar.

"Is that...?"

"What is it?" Kurumi and Miyuki asked.

"Nothing."

The car then went into the roads of the ruined neighborhood. The 2 groups would miss their times there.

In the middle of the road Yuki became the navigator which made her sit at the front.

"Oh yeah... Since we're already one group... What should be our new name?" Yuki asked trivially.

"Oh I got an Idea!" Konata said in the trunk.

"What is it?" The whole group asked.

"Lucky School Life Crew!"

"That's perfect!" Yuki agreed instantly.

"I wished a cooler name.... But whatever..." Kurumi continued, driving the car with an emotionless face as she slightly agreed with the new group name.

"So where we heading?" Tsukasa asked.

"St. Isidore University, they have some ties with this... Randall Corporation, who is responsible for all these." Yuuri replied quietly, making sure Yuki didn't hear it.

"St. Isidore!? That's where we told our group to go when we got separated!" Konata shouted out.

"She's right. When we got separated from the rest of our group, we told them to meet us there." Kagami replied.

"We know already. Takara already told us." Miki continued.

Yuki puts in a disc onto the car's CD player, before suddenly a broadcast was heard. A female survivor is currently inside a radio station.

"Should we get to her?" Kurumi asked.

"I don't know... Konata, what's your choice?" Kagami asked again.

"Why did you ask me?"

"Cause you're the ideal girl!" Tsukasa replied that.

"So you think I'm the one who is the best in making decisions?"

"And also referencing stuff from anime." Yuki said sarcastically.

"Alright then, we go there. Let's see if we can find a bigger car! I'm cramped up being in the trunk!"

The whole group nodded, and the car continues to move to the radio station.

They reached it in 6 minutes. All of them went out of the car and entered the radio station using a hatch on the roof.

Inside they found the girl that's doing the broadcast, already zombified.

Kurumi and Kagami took care of her, as Yuki found a key.

Konata identified it as a car key. Later on as they went out of the station, they looked at one of the corners of the building, there is a RV....

Konata smiled. "Now that's a ride!"

"The keys might work on that!" Yuki continued.

Both of them ran to the RV like kids in a candy store.

"Both of them..." Kurumi sighed.

"They can be sisters like that..." Kagami continued.

"Man, I think I'll have a headache just by imagining THAT." Kurumi finished.

Inside the RV Yuki puts the keys in the ignition, and it fit.

"Girls! The key fits!"

Miyuki and Tsukasa then hugged each other, tears of hope in their eyes.

Kurumi and the others ignored them and walked to the RV.

"No need to be so dramatic..." Miki commented.

"Hey Konata."

"Yes, Yuki?"

"Well, I heard from the group. They said that we could be sisters because of our personalities... Do you agree with that?"

"Of course, Yuki. You're like a twin sister to me, just like how both Kagami and Tsukasa are twins themselves." Konata agreed.

Yuki and Konata then hugged. Konata began to cry out because it's being so long since she last saw Yutaka, who is also like a sister to her. Heck, even Yutaka calls her "Onee-Chan".

Both of them moved to the back of the inside of the RV and take their seats, as Kurumi went to the driver's seat, Yuuri on the front passenger seat, and the others with the both of them.

The RV's engine started a second after Kurumi sat on the driver's seat.

The RV then left the radio station. It had became another abandoned ruin in the post-apocalyptic world...

It's carcass would be picked over by scavengers who found it, alongside Megumi's car, where the keys are kept in the ignition.
