26. Kurumi's Awakening

After Tsukasa closed the gates, she checked on the others that hid inside the bus. Everyone seems to be fine.

Shortly afterwards, Kurumi came in with Yuki... There's a bite mark on her neck.

"What... What happened? Where's Wakasa-San? Why is Takeya-San..." Tsukasa asked.

"Long story..." Kurumi's face is full of tears.

Kurumi's POV

I gave chase to that girl who took my Yuki. Rii-San also followed me as support.

We ran across hallways until we end up in a room with many windows. And outside the window is a 2 story drop which leads to a group of those things down there.

We searched the room, until I felt a fist hitting me in the face which sends me falling on my back. It was that girl.

"Not this time, weakling." She said, before proceeding to kick the hell out of me.

Rii-San then came out of nowhere and tackled her, but was soon overpowered by her.

She then pulled Yuki by her hair and brought her close to me.

"It seems like this brat is close to you. How about if I make you suffer...?"

She opened a drawer, and pulled out a decapitated head that is still alive and biting.

Yuki screamed, as she 'woke up' and cried out to me.

I tried to sit up, but couldn't due to the amount of pain. It was then the horror  occured.

She brought the head closer to Yuki's neck, and it bites Yuki in the neck, nearly tearing her flesh.

"No! KURUMI-CHAN.... PLEASE.... AHHHGHHGHH...."

Suddenly Rii-San ran in with a pair of scissors, and stabbed the head, killing it. She then stabbed the girl in the side which made her let go of Yuki.

"Tch... You got me... Nearly." The girl pulls out a hand grenade... Where did she even get that!?

She pulled the pin, and puts it on Rii-San's hand before pushing her out of the window. Rii-San fell directly into the group of those things.

"RII-SAN!!!"

An explosion was heard.... I can't believe it... Rii-San...

"Kurumi... Chan... Help..."

I heard Yuki pleading, and that girl cackling maliciously.

My vision went red. No... Not Yuki... I don't want her to die!

I roared, grabbing my shovel, and shoved the shovel blade into the girl's stomach.

She widened her eyes in surprise and coughed out blood. I pulled it out, and she sat down on the floor.

"Do it. Kill me. This is how the world works now... I'm weak..." She said.

"Survival of the fittest is NOT the answer! There are innocent people out there not deserving to be killed!"

"Innocent...? Ha! What a fool. In this world now, people just do what they want to survive... Bear with it..."

I stayed silent.

"I also heard from your conversation with your friend I sent out the window. You've killed your crush... So you should be able to kill me too."

This is the last straw. She mentioned Senpai... And how I killed him...

In a fit of rage, I smashed her head in with my shovel. She instantly passed out upon impact, but I still bashed her head continuously until her face is unrecognizable, killing her.

I took deep breaths, as I cried and looked at Yuki struggling to take a breather.

"Come on, Yuki... Let's get you fixed."

I have awakened. I will not... NOT go easy on anyone... If they tries to hurt my club members... Especially Yuki... They're dead... DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD DEAD!!!

I carried Yuki and ran out, back to the courtyard and into the bus.

Normal POV

"That's what happened." Kurumi finished telling her story.

"What should we do now?" Tsukasa asked.

"We still have that syringe from Megurigaoka, right? Use it." Kurumi suggested.

"There's a problem..." Kuroi-Sensei said.

She flipped Miki's sailor top up, revealing that she was too, bitten. On her hip.

"No... Everything is so screwed..." Kurumi commented.

"What should we do, Kurumi-San? Who should we cure?" Tsukasa asked, as she checked her bag and took the syringe.

...........

Kurumi took the syringe, and injected the contents into Yuki. Yuki's breathing became stable as a result.

"That'll give her time... But Miki..." Tsukasa muttered.

"We'll get to Randall. They oughta have more syringes with the cure like this." Kurumi suggested, before continuing with "Get her to the RV."
