27. Infighting

Kuroi-Sensei brings Miki to the RV, while Hikako took a moment to fix the radiator. She had claimed that it had a leak, and she had to fix it.

Kurumi carried Yuki, and brings her to her room to rest. Kagami, Tsukasa, Hiyori, Ruu and Chinatsu followed.

In the hallways, Kagami strikes a conversation.

"We need to know what caused this."

"Excuse me?" Kurumi asked.

"Somebody's been giving the fight crew our medical supplies... Tsukasa found it and they attacked since they didn't receive it."

Kagami then looked at Hiyori.

"Tamura, it's you right?"

"Whoa, back off."

"You're in no position to make demands." Kagami angrily said.

"Hiiragi, you're just pointing fingers!"

"Tamura-San is trustworthy, Onee-Chan. There's no way she would betray us like that." Tsukasa objected Kagami's accusation.

"Thank you, Tsu."

"Look, I don't know what happened, but please stop this!" Chinatsu spoke.

"Was it both of you, Yoshikawa?"

"What!?"

"You and Tamura have been close with each other. Tell me, was it both of you!?"

"No! Nobody is stealing anything! Please stop!"

"Onee-Chan, stop it. Please."

Tsukasa's pleas went on deaf ears as Kagami then asked "Ebisuzawa, what do you think?"

"I dunno! Stop, would ya!? It's nuts!"

It was then, Yuki began to cough. The medication must've been taking place by now.

"She's dehydrated. Hold her for a moment." Kurumi tells the group.

Ruu knelt down, stroking Yuki's forehead. She's burning up.

Kurumi finds a vending machine, which she smashed through with her shovel, and she reached in to find some drinks.

"Let's settle this now. You've got a minute to admit that it was her, and not you Yoshikawa!" Kagami sternly said.

"No! Please!"

"Stop it, Hiiragi!"

"Onee-Chan, it couldn't have been both of them! It could've been somebody who snuck into this section!"

"Nonsense. That's your theory, Tsukasa? Ebisuzawa, what's it gonna be?"

"Stop talking already!"

"So now the vote goes to you and Ruu then..."

"What's voting?" Ruu asked.

"Don't involve her, Onee-Chan!"

"We don't need all this votes! Please, I'll do ANYTHING! I'll do watches for months!" Chinatsu pleaded.

"Ha! Like hell you are." Kagami scoffed.

"She's broken, Onee-Chan! Stop it!"

They continued to bicker, until finally Tsukasa gripped her fists, and said.

"Fine! I did it, happy now Onee-Chan!?"

"What...?" Hiyori is surprised.

"You're too airheaded to steal, Tsukasa. There's no way it's you! Do we have more evidence than this?!"

"Screw evidence, Hiiragi! Stop treating Yoshikawa like this!" Hiyori stood up.

"Shut up, Tamura. I've heard enough out of you!"

"Or else what? You think you're some tough girl, do you Hiiragi!? You're just a scared little girl. Get over it. Try to open a page from Tsu's book and try to behave for once!"

Kagami's expression darkened.

It was then, Kurumi finally reached in to find the remaining bottled water inside the vending machine.

"Finally! Now, what's the problem--"

BANG

A gunshot was heard.

There is a hole in Hiyori's left cheek, the size of a 9mm bullet. The type of ammunition she uses for her own pistol.

It turns out that Kagami had somehow pickpocket Hiyori's pistol at some time.

Now she had done it, she murdered Hiyori in cold blood, with no regrets.

Hiyori fell on her side, lifeless.

Everyone, even Ruu is speechless.

Tsukasa's expression darkened, and pinned Kagami to a nearby wall.

"DROP IT." Tsukasa said, gritting her teeth as she said it.

Kagami does what she was told to.

"We're not taking this crazy girl with us! She's staying here while we go to Randall!" Kurumi suggested.

Tsukasa took a moment, and said "Sorry, Onee-Chan. You're not coming with us."

"But, Tsukasa... What am I gonna do here--"

"We're not letting you kill any more of us on the way to Randall! When is the time where you would kill me!? You're a murderer." Kurumi glared.

"I'm a murderer!? We've had Tsukasa the whole time--"

"I don't care what she did before all this!" Kurumi shouted.

"You knew!?"

"Yeah. She told me, and I don't give a crap."

Eventually, they left Kagami alone and managed to get Yuki to her room, where Miyuki would take care of her while they're gone. The people that will go to Randall are:

Tsukasa, Kurumi, Chinatsu and her group, Shiiko, Kuroi-Sensei and Miki.

They got into the RV the next day, although they didn't notice a child's figure climbing into the RV too, hiding inside one of the counters.
