37. Trapped

"They couldn't enter the garden right?" Kurumi asked, before hearing a metal gate crashing down outside. "...Maybe not."

"We need a plan... Tsu?" Mei asked.

"Misaki-San! Get upstairs and help Ruu-chan find a way out!"

"On it."

"Kurumi-San! Use the furniture as barricades!"

"That's what I'm thinking!"

"Yoshikawa-San!"

Chinatsu shook.

"Kill anything that gets in!"

"You know you're talking to ME, right!?"

"Yoshikawa-San, just do it... Kou-Kun! What is it?" Tsukasa looked at Kouichi, whose eyes widened into the shape of dinner plates.

Kouichi ran to the back door near the kitchen which is wide open.

"Back door! Everyone!"

Kurumi and the others quickly returned and held the back door.

"They're coming in!" Kouichi shouted.

"Tsu, find something." Mei ordered.

"You still got your hatchet, right!?" Kurumi asked.

"Yeah, use it, Tsu!"

Tsukasa pulls out her hatchet, and dispatched the infected trying to get into the house, and they managed to close the door down, and barred it with a nearby board.

"Now what do we do...?" Chinatsu asked.

"What's the plan, Tsu?" Mei asked as well.

Tsukasa got a choice here; either be calm since they won't come in, tell the others to be quiet, or tell them to be ready to fight...

"Shush... Let's stay quiet... Maybe they'll go away."

But then the doors and windows were breached, and Tsukasa shouted "Alright! New plan!" As Kurumi, Chinatsu and the couple all collapsed comically.

They stood back up, and ran upstairs where Ruu is.

"Found a way out yet, Ruu-chan!?" Tsukasa asked.

"There's something in the ceiling..." Ruu pointed at a rope, attached to a hatch leading to the attic, before looking back at Tsukasa with her eyes widened. "Your... Your arm? Where?"

"Good thinking, kiddo!" Kurumi praised.

Mei then lifted Ruu up her shoulders so that the latter can reach the rope, and pull it, opening the hatch to the attic.

An attached ladder folded down as the hatch opened. Ruu went in first, followed by Mei, Kouichi, Kurumi, and Tsukasa, who dropped her pistol from her pocket. Chinatsu quickly grabbed it and followed them.

As they all reached the attic and closing the hatch, Chinatsu handed the gun back to Tsukasa, saying "Here. I'm not good with this, you dropped it."

"What are you good at, anyways..." Tsukasa sweat dropped.

The attic is decorated into a teenager's bedroom, complete with a shelf which is usually Otakus have to collect figures and such.

"Is everyone OK?" Ruu asked.

"Tsu's still armless." Kurumi replied.

"Shut up." Mei cussed.

"We need to find a way out." Kouichi said.

"He's right. Any ideas how are we gonna find our stalker and catch up to those thieves of a middle school group?" Kurumi asked.

"I don't know... Maybe." Tsukasa answered honestly.
