Life Unexpected Part 3, Chapter 31
At General Hospital-Brenda had just come out of Robin's office, where she was trying to find a cure for her cancer, when Skye stopped by.
"Brenda," Skye said.
"Skye," Brenda replied.
"Are you here to get Jax back? Why did you keep his son from him?" Skye asked.
"I had my reasons. I will never be with Jax again. I'm dying," Brenda said.
"What?" Skye asked.
"It's cancer," Brenda explained.
"I'm sorry. Really, I'm a child, so I shouldn't lose his mother," Skye said.
"Thanks, I believe you. I'm sorry for the past," Brenda responded.
"Me too, I've moved on from Jax. I'm married to Lorenzo Alcazar, and we have children together," Skye said.
"Good. I need to go," Brenda said as she left.
Skye took a deep breath and went into Dr. Collin's office.
In Dr. Collin's office—Dr. Collin was in his office when Skye entered.
"Dr. Collin, thanks for seeing me," Skye said.
"You're welcome. What can I do to help?" Kevin asked.
"I've been having a hard time reconnecting with life and the twins since I woke up," Skye said.
"Skye, you've been in a coma for six months. It's normal to feel this way," Kevin said.
"I just don't want to be a bad mother. I love my children, and I want to be the best mother I can be," Skye replied.
"You just need to give yourself time, that's all," Kevin said.
"I hope so. I can't be like her," Skye said.
"Who?" Kevin asked.
"Athena—the woman who raised me. I thought she was my mother, but I'm relieved she's not. I don't have her blood running through my veins," Skye explained.
"Do you want to talk about her?" Kevin asked.
Skye got up.
"I haven't thought about her in a long time, but yesterday I ran into someone from my past," Skye said.
"Who?" Kevin asked.
"Nina. She's my cousin from the Althea side. Nina was there; she saw something I wish I could forget," Skye replied.
"Did Nina try to help?" Kevin asked.
"Yes, she was the one bright spot in my childhood," Skye said.
"Skye, I know it's hard, but you need to deal with your past so you can be a great mother," Kevin advised.
"You're right," Skye agreed.
"Why don't you come back tomorrow?" Kevin suggested.
"Alright," Skye said.
Back at General Hospital—In Dr. Lee's office, Lindsey was expressing her concerns.
"Well, the baby will be okay, even at my age," Lindsey asked.
"Yes, that's why we will monitor you," Dr. Lee assured her.
"I mixed up with Jennifer and Will, but this time I will not. I never thought I'd be raising the child alone," Lindsey said.
"Everything looks good so far," Dr. Lee replied.
Meanwhile, Alan was working when Leslie came into the hallway.
"Alan," Leslie greeted.
"Leslie, you're back! Do you want to work here?" Alan asked.
"I was thinking of just a couple of days and consulting on cases," Leslie said.
"Sure, why not," Alan replied.
"Thanks. I'm glad you're back," Leslie said.
"Thanks, the Cassadines had me," Alan added.
"Another victim of the Cassadines," Leslie commented.
"They will never win," Alan assured her.
"No," Leslie agreed.
Just then, Bobbie came by.
"Leslie, it's good to see you," Bobbie said.
"You too," Leslie replied.
"Leslie is going to come back to work here," Alan announced.
"Good," Bobbie said.
