"Life Unexpected Part 3, Chapter 3"
At General Hospital, in Skye's room, Skye lay in bed while Lorenzo stood by her side. "Skye, it's been six months; you need to wake up," Lorenzo said. He kissed Skye's hand as Alan entered the room. "Alan, we need our Skye back," Lorenzo said. "Yes, we do," Alan replied. "What are we going to do?" Lorenzo asked. "Let's go into the hallway," Alan suggested. "I'll be right back," Lorenzo said and stepped out.

Alan and Lorenzo moved into the hallway. "Lorenzo, Skye's been in a coma for six months now. It doesn't look good. I love Skye as my own daughter, but it seems she may not wake up," Alan expressed. "No! Skye is going to wake up. We are not giving up on her. I will call every doctor in this country. I won't give up on my wife!" Lorenzo yelled as Tracy approached.

"What's going on?" Tracy asked.

"Alan is talking about giving up on my wife, but I won't give up on Skye," Lorenzo declared.

"We just need to be realistic," Alan said.

"We are. Lorenzo, I am on your side with this," Tracy assured him.

"Thanks, Tracy," Lorenzo replied.

"I don't want to lose Skye either, but I also don't want her to suffer any health problems if she wakes up," Alan added.

"I know," Lorenzo acknowledged.

"We will get Skye the best care possible," Tracy promised.

At Gail's home, Gail was having some coffee when the doorbell rang—it was Monica. "Gail, I'm sorry I haven't been here for a while. I'm sorry about Lee," Monica said.

"Thanks. I'm just about to plan his funeral," Gail replied.

"I've been thinking about my past, and I want to know who my parents are. You're my mother," Gail stated.

"Yes, I was forced to give you up. I didn't want to, but then I found you and took you in," Gail explained.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Monica asked.

"I didn't want to ruin our relationship. I love you, Monica," Gail responded.

"I'll be upset, but I love you too, and you've always been like a mother to me. I'm not upset," Monica said.

"Thanks," Gail replied.

"Who's my father?" Monica inquired.

"An old boyfriend from high school. I was a young mother," Gail answered.

"Have you been in touch with him?" Monica asked.

"No, I sure plan Lee's funeral," Gail stated.

"Let me help you," Monica offered.
