"Yanyu, I'm sorry," Mingzhu starts off since she knew Yanyu wouldn't do the first move. "We all know that you're too important to me and I wouldn't do anything to lose you in my life. Nothing happened between me and Kaihao. I'm telling you the truth."

Yanyu surprisingly showed her smiled in front of her, "I believe you."

Mingzhu blinked a few times. She couldn't believe what she was seeing - and hearing. "Y-you believe me?"

Yanyu nods, "Two weeks after it happened, I met up with Yanchen. He told me everything."

"Wait - so you knew? All along?! Then why haven't you been speaking to me? To us?"

"I needed some time, Mingzhu." Yanyu moved towards the chair and sat down. "I broke up with Kaihao and I wasn't even sure if it was the right choice. I stayed away from all of you because if I didn't, you would pull multiple schemes to get me and him back together again. Like what you did right now."

Mingzhu felt soft hearing those words from her, "Well, that's how strong our bond is."

"Yeah, and I needed some time to think. On my own." Yanyu confessed. "I heard rumors that Kaihao had a girlfriend but I didn't want to believe it. But then I heard him at Yankai's party. I got caught up in my emotions and left."

"He did have a girlfriend. 7 months after you two broke up. But for him it wasn't real. Because he still loved you." Mingzhu explains. "Plus, I met the girl and she's not exactly his type."

Yanyu chuckled, "He really has a weird taste in woman, huh?"

"Can I ask you something, Yanyu," Mingzhu pursed her lips before speaking, "Do you still love Kaihao?"

Yanyu played with the ring on her finger before answering Mingzhu's question, "Yes. I still do."

Kaihao walked around the riverside, kicking some rocks. It was already midnight and since he couldn't sleep, he decided to take a walk.

Yanyu hasn't left his mind ever since the party. He knew she heard everything and now that she found out he had a girlfriend, she will never take him back.

"Idiot," He muttered to himself.

If only he'd gone after Yanyu that day then this wouldn't have happened. If only he'd apologize and understood her situation better then maybe they'd be happy right now and playing games with the crew.

But no, he had to overreact and say some pretty dumb things to his girlfriend. Yanyu was the best thing that has ever happened to Kaihao and losing her was like losing his own lifeline.

He was about to throw a rock when he noticed a figure walking towards him, "Has the grim reaper decided to take me away?"

"Corny as ever, I see,"

Kaihao recognize that voice anywhere. It was the only sound he was wanting to hear right now, "Y-Yanyu?"
