Hendery tried his hardest to keep his eyes open. Sleep threatened his eyelids, making it hard to focus on the (luckily) empty road.

"Do you want me to drive?"

Hendery braked, stopping the truck in the middle of the road.

"It looks like you're falling asleep. And your driving's showing it."

Blinking a few times, Hendery shifted in his seat. "Yeah, sure."

The two switched, Hendery in the passenger's seat, Xiao Jun starting to drive. Hendery's eyes immediately fell shut, as he leaned his head against the window.

"Hendery,"

His eyes fluttered open when he felt someone shaking his shoulder.

"I drove to your house. I'll walk home, okay?" Xiao Jun informed.

Hendery opened his eyes fully, regaining his consciousness. "Okay. Thank you." he sluggishly replied.

When Xiao Jun left, Hendery entered his house through the front door. It was silent and dark, meaning his parents were asleep, so he tiptoed all the way up the stairs in order not to wake them.

He fell back onto his bed, staring at the plain ceiling above him. The day's events replayed in his mind and his lips curled into a small smile.

Xiao Jun was really something. He was a person he clicked with nicely.

It was a true blessing in Hendery's eyes, to meet a person he was so compatible with. Because the last time he met a person like that, she broke his heart.

Hendery placed another paper boat on his desk, tilting his head as he looked at it. It was pink, his favorite color, and he was really happy about how it turned out.

There was a series of knocks at the door, causing Hendery to lift himself from his chair to see who it was. His parents were gonna be gone all day, so he was stuck home alone.

He opened the door, greeted with two boys holding boxes.

"Would you like to buy some chocolate covered pretzels?" one boy asked, an eye smile spreading across his face.

Hendery blinked, this was not what he was expecting. "Uh, I would, but I don't have money."

"Aw." the other boy frowned. "Are you sure? I only make these once a year."

"Wait, you made them?" Hendery wanted to facepalm at his stupid question.

"Yeah, Jaemin doesn't make them that often so it's kinda a blessing." the eye smile guy answered. "So, wanna buy some?"

"You guys really want me to invest in this, huh?" Hendery shook his head and smiled. "Hold on, lemme get some money."

Hendery came back to the front door to purchase two boxes of the treats.

"Thank you so much." the boy, apparently named Jaemin chimed, taking the money and handing the box over. "Let's go Jeno."

The two boys left the front door. Shaking his head, Hendery laughed softly and closed the door. He looked down at the boxed in his hand, one he'll leave for his parents, the other he'll bring to Xiao Jun's as a thank you for driving him home last night.

So, he decided to get ready and head to his neighbor's house.
