The last days of summer were upon them, the boys trying to make the most out of their last bit of freedom before hell.

Hendery dance walked down the dock, occasionally yelling at his boyfriend to catch up with him. They hopped onto the boat, the sun rays casting down on them.

"Want me to teach you how to steer?" Xiao Jun asked through a grin.

"Sure, but I'll probably suck at it. It's worth a try though." Hendery sighed, but full of glee from his boyfriend's offer.

He placed both of his hands on the wheel, Xiao Jun placing his hands over his to guide him.

"Damn, I feel like a captain! Ahoy mateys!" Hendery put on his best pirate accent.

"You've literally only gotten two feet away from the dock." Xiao Jun stated, laughing at his boyfriend's childish yet cute behavior.

They steered the boat together, Xiao Jun quickly explaining the simplest physics to the other.

"Is it always this hard to turn left?" Hendery knitted his eyebrows together, grasping unto the wheel with both hands as he attempted to turn the boat with all his strength.

"Boats are heavy, it takes time." Xiao Jun explained, his hands still on top of Hendery's, making sure they were going the right way. "Unlike paper boats, which are light and easily go with the current." he joked.

"I will never get over your sense of humor, I swear." Hendery shook his head.

After successfully steering the boat a decent distance away from the shore, they sat afloat for a while, enjoying the sound of the ocean and birds.

"Thank you for spending this whole summer with me." Hendery randomly said, gazing up at the clear blue sky. "Seriously, it means a lot."

"I should be saying the same to you. Thank you Hendery." Xiao Jun replied, turning his head.

Hendery smiled, reaching out to lace their fingers together.

When they got back to the docks, the sun was starting to set, casting a red, almost blood like color onto the sea. The sun slowly disappeared, as well as the light, the two boys sat at the edge of a dock, legs dangling over the water.

Xiao Jun rested his head on Hendery's shoulder, intently watching the beautiful sunset. "What are we gonna do when we go back to university?" he softly asked, question coming out shaky.

Hendery thought about this for a few seconds, letting the question simmer in his brain. "We can still go on dates right? The weekends? Whenever we have free time?" he suggested.

"I would love that." Xiao Jun giggled. "But I'll miss you." he muttered.

"Don't worry, love." Hendery lifted his boyfriend's head and cupped his warm cheeks, which were currently burning due to the nickname. Xiao Jun looked unreal in the sunset, the hues perfectly complimenting his skin and eyes. Damn, Hendery was so lucky to have this boy.

"It'll all be okay. Just pinky promise you won't ever leave me?" Hendery continued, taking one of his palms off of Xiao Jun's face.

"Of course I wouldn't." Xiao Jun replied sincerely. "Why do I need to do a pinky promise, are you five?" he then complained sarcastically. Despite saying that, he still held his pinky up, locking it with the other's.
