Once back home, Alec could think only about one thing: Jason's message. Should he call him back? Alec didn't want to, but he had the feeling that Jason would continue to harass him if he didn't do it. He was completely lost and didn't know what to do to get out of this situation. By the time he decided to call Jason, he heard someone knock on the door of his bedroom. He got up, and went to open. It was Isabelle, who was standing in the coaching.
In tears.
"Izzy, what's going on? Come in!"
Her face full of tears, Isabelle entered Alec's room and sat down on his bed. Alec went to sit next to her and took her in his arms.
"Tell me what's happening Izzy. I'm here for you."
Isabelle straightened up, wiped her tears with the back of her hand and took a deep breath.
"It's ... It's Simon," Izzy said.
She could barely make a sentence.
"Simon? Something happened to him?"
Isabelle's tears were running down her face again.
"No," she sobbed, "he ... he cheated on me."
Alec couldn't believe it. Simon? Cheating on Isabelle? Impossible.
"Tell me what happened exactly, you're maybe wrong."
Once again, Isabelle took a deep breath.
"We had a date today. To the cinema. We have planned to meet directly in front of the cinema. I was late and when I finally arrived, Simon was with a girl. A girl from my class. And then ..."
"Yes ?", Alec encouraged Alec to continue.
"He took her hand! So I left, because I couldn't stand to see this ..."
Alec laughed internally. He had suspected that Izzy would make a mountain of nothing. He knew his sister better than anyone.
However, he took a serious look, not wanting to hurt Isabelle. He tried to comfort her, gently, assuring her that it meant nothing.
"Isabelle, it's nothing. He didn't kiss her! Trust me, he didn't cheat on you. And why did you leave? You could have made things clear directly."
"Nothing?? He held it by the hand, Alec! And I was too angry to stay, I was sure I was going to make a scandal in front of the cinema so I preferred to leave."
"I'm sure that it meant nothing to him. Call him and try to fix things."
"Oh, but he already tried. He called me dozens of times and left me full of messages asking why I was not here today."
"Well, you see! He worried about not seeing you."
Isabelle shrugged but didn't answer. She took a handkerchief and wiped her eyes.
"And what about you?"
"What do you mean, about me?"
This abrupt change of subject destabilized Alec.
"With Magnus! How's it going?"
"Good, I think."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Izzy, will you one day stop asking thousands of questions?"
"Never," she smiled.
Alec could not help but smile. Seeing his good-natured sister again made him happy, he didn't like to see her sad.
"Well, I think I'll call Simon," she said, getting up. "I would still like to know who this girl was."
"Good idea," Alec agreed.
"Thanks for listening to me, Alec."Alec smiled at her, and then she left the room.

Half an hour later, Alec was still on his bed, his phone in his hands, with Jason's number dialed on the keyboard. A thousand of questions crossed his mind. Finally, he decided to call Jason.
After two rings, Jason picked up the phone.
"Yes?"
"Jason. It's Alec."
"Alec, I've been waiting for days for you to call me! Why didn't you answer me the other time?"
"I was ... busy."
"With your new boyfriend, isn't it?"
Alec swallowed his frustration."Jason, just tell me what you want and we're done."
"Can we see each other soon ?"
Alec closed his eyes. Jason wasn't going to ask him on a date, would he ?
"Are you serious, Jason? Do you really need to see me so you can talk to me? I've called you, as you asked. That must be enough."
"Oh Alec, I'm sure you have some time to give me ... unless your boyfriend takes you all your free time."
"You don't know anything about my life.""Just accept to see me."
And Alec agreed, just for Jason to leave him alone.
"Tomorrow night, 7 pm, in front of the park near my university," Alec said. I will send you the coordinates by text message. And after that, you leave me alone."
"Well, you see that you can be cooperative when you want."
Alec didn't take the time to answer to this remark. He hung up and immediately sent the coordinates to Jason. He didn't even look at what Jason answered to him. Alec had a bad feeling about all this, and he didn't know at all how to apprehend this "date."He just wanted to end all this as soon as possible.
When his phone rang again, Alec was afraid it would be Jason again. But no. It was Magnus. A smile lit up his face.
"Hi Magnus, I missed you."
"You too ... What do you say if we see each other tomorrow night?"
Alec was going to accept, but he suddenly remembered the "date" with Jason.
"Sorry Magnus. Tomorrow night, it's not possible ... Uh ... too much work for university."
Alec bit his lip. He hated lying, and even more to Magnus.
"Oh, I understand, don't worry. Hum, Saturday night then?
"It's perfect."
"Awesome. Come home directly, we will have a quiet evening."
"I can't wait to see you Magnus."
At the other end of the line, Magnus frowned.
"Are you ok Alec? You have a strange voice."
"Huh? Yes Magnus, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?"
Alec felt worse and worse. But he must not betray himself.
"Okay. But don't hesitate to talk to me, I'm here you for you. You know that, right?"
"I know. Thank you, Magnus. See you Saturday then!"
He hung up, even worse than before. If he has already started to lie to Magnus, what could happen next?
