Chapter twenty two

Katherine's POV

Turning around, I found Katherine standing an inch from me with a strange kind of longing in her eyes. She looked like she too was looking for me. I kicked an empty can on my path as I strolled towards her and stood a breathe away from her.

"Why did you do it k? Why did you let him kiss you!" I asked calmly trying to steady my nerves a bit.

She opened her mouth as if to say something but no word made it out. She won't even try to defend herself maybe? Am I right to think that she wanted that kiss to happened?

"I didn't let him kiss me Lavi. He took me by surprise and I don't even know why am explaining myself to you if we are not even together" she snapped back at me taking me by surprise.

"No you are wrong Katherine! We are not together because you keep running away from me each time I try to get close again. Why do you think I came here anyway. I can't even stay away from you even if I wanted  to and what did I get in return? You allowing that toad face to kiss you" I half yelled.

She shut her eyes as if in pain before rubbing at her temple.

"I guess you didn't watch long enough to see that I pushed him away or did you?" She replied calmly. Taking me by surprise because I was expecting her to maybe yell back at me but she didn't.

"Another minute in there could have result in my fist smashing in his face and I can't ruin your day like that no matter how badly I would have loved to hit him for kissing you... I still couldn't" my breathe coming out labored.

"I'm sorry you had to see that" she took a step closer as her skin half graze mine a little sending tinkle to my spine.

"Don't ever let him do that again Katherine cos I won't be able to stop myself.. You are mine! Only mine" grabbing at her wrist as I pulled her closer to me...

I know am being possessive with Katherine but I can't help it. She brings out the worst in me. I do anything for her and that include keeping her away from anyone who is a threat to our relationship. I have tried to respect her decision to not be with me anymore but it wasn't easy as it's sounds. Her thought are embedded in my mind and if I even try as much as to rip her out? I'd go crazy.

I can tolerate her dad and my parent trying to keep us apart but not her running away from me or that toad face getting in between.

Her eyes flare up in danger as my word registered in her mind and she pulled away.

"I'm yours you say? And how about that girl you were dancing around with earlier? Cos its seem to me that you were so comfortable dancing with random girls at my party and I can't do same" she yelled back.

What now?

"It was just Lizzy and not some random girls as you so put it and besides. We only danced and not kiss like you did" I shot back.

"Ho ho ho...just danced you said? Cos it doesn't look that way to me. And who the hell is Lizzy cos she sure looked to me like she wanted to kiss you right there in front of everyone grinding her hip against you like that" she countered back. Her anger evident.

Katherine is jealous of Lizzy even thought she has no reason to be.

Cupping her face in one swift move and holding her in place; I kissed her long and hard. Stealing all the fight in her body as our lips met and melt against each other with a new kind of fire burning through me. I don't care if her dad or aunt Nene should walk in on us right now at this moment because I will still kiss her. I have missed her kisses. Her silent little moan even though she sometimes tries to hid it at the moment.

This lips are mine to kiss and mine alone and no one is allowed to kiss them except me. Absolutely no one!.

We pulled away without anyone walking in on us as she kept staring at me with her finger tracing at her plump lips in a really tempting way.

"Lizzy is just a girl I met approximately three hours ago and I danced with her because I was bored waiting all by myself and not because we liked each other" I explained calmly.

"I'm still mad at you!" She declared.

"I know you are" I replied.

"Then why did you kiss me?" Her brow raised.

I shrugged as I step closer.

"I guess I just wanted to say Happy birthday?"

"Oh?" Was all that made it out of her mouth as her face broke out in a smile.

"Sorry I couldn't get a proper gift for your birthday princess" I apologize

"You already gave me my gift lav" smirking at me

"Well if you are referring to the kiss then maybe we could have done better you know? Cos I wanted your gift to be special" My face breaking out in a wide grin.

"Don't be a perv please" rolling her eyes at me.

"Well,maybe this perv should get going now. James must be waiting"

"He left a while ago" she said

"He what?" My eyes wide

"I met him earlier and he asked me to let you know that he was leaving and for you to call him when you get home"

Oh am going to kill him because that's the only thing he will be getting for ditching me the whole day and also leaving without me as well.

"I guess am on my own now but anyways, I should still get moving before my mom calls again. And oh do pick up when next you see my calls or am going to be forced to come back here and  kidnap you for real one of these days"

She chuckled at my threat as she shook her head at me.

"You wouldn't dare but let not test that out coz since you are asking so nicely? I might" she replied with a real smile

"Thank you!"

"Thank you too for coming lav"

"See you around?"

"I guess?" With a shrug.

If I heard correctly, that's the second time she is calling me lav in the same night...

This day must be a beautiful one indeed!
