Chapter thirty-seven
Katherine's POV
**
"Wait! Are you sure you can finish all that?"
I looked at obi raised eye brow and back at my plate of food and laughed at him. He doesn't know it or better still; won't believe it if I tell him I can finish all these and still eat some of his lunch if I can have my way at it. Lately,it's either am throwing up or eating my way through a bowl of jollof rice and fried plantain. Is either this is becoming a new eating habit for me or am quickly turning into a major consumer just like my dad and aunt Nene had always wanted me to be. Anyways, back to the matter at hand!
What was obi saying again??
If I can finish my plate of food when am literally starving? Goodness gracious!
"Yes I can finish all these including yours as well so don't tempt me" glaring at him.
He shrugged at my reply and continued eating.
"I don't know why but you seem to be eating more than usual this days" he murmured.
"That's weird cos Lavi said the same thing yesterday when I tried to eat his lunch after I ate mine" pointing at him
Speaking of Lavi!; it's a miracle he is not stalking me right now. He is more like my personal bodyguard this few days. Not that I mind having him around though. I'm literally craving his presence these days. Obi had to forced me to follow him to the cafeteria and it's only because I was starving.
"Kate?"
"Hmm?" Answering with my mouth full.
"Have you gone for your test result yet?"
My head snapped at his direction the moment the word fell out his mouth. I totally forgot about that damn thing altogether.
Screw me right now.
"I forgot all about it"
"Well go ahead and finish your food and we can go get it" he offered.
"Gosh! You're a life saver"
"Tell me about it princess" smirking at me and earning himself an eye roll from me.
The nurse took longer than necessary to retrieve my result from the lab technician and when she finally did; I thought something was definitely wrong with the look on her face.
"Can you step into my office for a minute miss Joseph"
"Yeah sure but is my result that bad?"
"That's exactly what I will like to discuss with you and in private"
"Okay!"
