Chapter thirty-six

Katherine's POV

The festive season is finally over and school activities are back in full swing with preparation for our upcoming waec exam. Our Practical exams is set to begin this very month. With everything going on, I feel like am going to fall sick yet again. I'm always tired these days and I can't understand why.

I don't know why but after climbing the stairs this morning; I'm beginning to feel really dizzy and nauseous all over again. I threw up this morning in my bathroom right after I woke up. I can't afford to puke yet again cos my stomach will be totally empty.

Nothing seem to stay down there anymore.

I struggled with breakfast this morning only to puke right after. This is becoming like a major headache for me. Obi was smiling sweetly at me the moment I made it to class.

"You look terrible Kate, what is wrong with you" he pried

I pushed pass him and head straight to my seat with him following from behind.

"I don't know. I just feel dizzy" wishing he could just go away already. The classroom was scanty as it's but I feel suffocated and can't seem to breathe properly as it's.

I can see his mouth moving but I can't hear him anymore as my eye lid were becoming heavier by the second. Another blink and I went crashing to the floor and black out.

I woke up later and found myself lying in the school clinic with obi by my side,gripping firmly on my hand.

What the heck!

"Thank God you're awake now" smiling nervously at me.

"Why am I here? What happened?" Struggling to seat up on the bed even though I was still pretty much dizzy.

"W-we were just talking and suddenly you went crashing to the floor. I was so scared"

"I'm sorry if I scared you. I felt so dizzy and weak"

The staff nurse walked out from the inner chamber where it supposed to be the lab and stood beside me on the bed before inserting the clinical thermometer in my mouth for some minutes before checking it out. She went further by checking my blood pressure before writing on her record chart. Obi on the other hand won't stop pacing around as he kept walking in circle with his arm crossing his chest.

"Can you stop pacing already?" Her voice called at obi as he halted at the sound of her voice.

"I'm sorry ma" he apologized

"I'm going to ask you a few questions okay miss Joseph" she turned to me again. " but before we continued, am going to ask you to please wait outside okay?" Referring to obi.

He looked over to me for approval and I nodded at him before he walked towards the exit.

"I'll just be outside if you need me okay?"

"Okay!"

"Is the principal son your boyfriend?"
