Chapter 7 - The Visit

A few days later Tyler and Sasha came to visit. Jody was excited to see them and flung herself at Tyler. He embraced her in a big hug.

Don't mind me laughed Sasha

Tyler and Jody awkwardly ended their hug, aware that Sasha was watching and grinning.

Jody introduced them to her mum and after they had sat and had a drink of lemonade, the three headed upstairs to Jody's room

Nice room said Sasha looking around

Ah cool Twister! Lets have a game! Exclaimed Tyler

The next couple of hours were spent playing twister and a variety of board games. It was good to see her friends. Jody laughed until her sides ached. But just as Jody was beginning to think the afternoon couldn't have been more perfect, Kingsley appeared

Whats all this Monkey?

We're just playing a game. These are my friends, this is Sasha and you've met Tyler before.

I think it's about time your friends went home, don't you

But we haven't finished the game protested Jody

I said its time your friends went home repeated Kingsley a warning tone in his voice

You can't tell her what to do. You don't even live here. If social services knew you were here, you'd be in serious trouble argued Tyler getting up and walking over to Kingsley

Its none of your business. Time for you to run along home little boy and keep your mouth shut snarled Kingsley

Tyler, lets just go. Interjected Sasha 

Jody followed Sasha and Tyler to the front door to say goodbye.

Sorry about that. I'll see you soon

I'll tell Mike Kingsley is hanging around and he can get social services involved

No Tyler, please don't. Please. If you get Kingsley in trouble, it will only make things worse. Besides he's not round that much and this is my chance to sort things out with mum and be a proper family again.
