Every day Nathan wakes up and goes to the hospital cafeteria. He grabs mac and cheese and chocolate pudding. Those are his favorites. He sits at a table close to the window so he can people watch.
When he finishes his food he heads back to his room. Nathan sits in his window, to continue people watching. He can't watch TV because any electronic device gives him a headache. He waits until it's time for him to go to bed.
Hours pass by. Nathan hasn't moved. He has tears rolling down his cheeks continuing to stare out the window. It is dark now, he can no longer see the people in the parking lot. He runs his fingers through his short black hair. He wipes the tears from his ocean blue eyes. He heads to the cafeteria for dinner.
Nathan grabs his favorite dinner special that his friend James makes for him, an Italian hoagie with french fries. That's Nathan's favorite. He goes and takes his usual seat at the window.
When he's finished he gets washed up and heads to bed. He lays in silence until he is sealed in the darkness of the night.
