It had started with a feeling.

Just a strange, sudden feeling.

You'd been enjoying a night out with friends, dressed perfectly and laughing at something silly when...you felt it. A feeling of unease. It felt as though you were being watched, unseen eyes burning into you so hard you could feel it on your skin. You had turned around, looking through the crowd of dancing, half-drunk people but...

There was nothing. No one. Strange.

But, you told yourself, you were in pretty popular club, after all, and you were all dressed up. Maybe someone had been staring at you before but...whatever. You turned back to your friends and forgot all about it.

You should have looked up into the darkness.

It happened again though.

You were walking home after a long shift at work, wondering why your boss had to be such a hard ass, when...that feeling came over you again. It was much stronger this time, a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach that made you look around you once more.

The streets were dark. Quiet. There was no one there after all.

You hadn't seen any cars nor had you see anyone else walking this way for quite some time now. Shaking your head, you decided that you were simply too tired and you quickly hurried home to your warm bed.

Were you scared, darling?

You were still tired the next morning.

All throughout the night, you had had the strangest dreams.

Dreams of a calm, smooth voice coming from the darkness, whispering things you couldn't quite remember. It had been totally dark if it weren't for the glowing, yellow eyes. You wouldn't have called it a nightmare but...it had been unnerving.

Crawling out of bed, you stumbled into the kitchen to start your day, trying to forget all about it once again.

Such a lovely girl...

It kept happening.

The strange feeling kept coming back, first it was just every so often. Then it came everyday. Then it was happening several times a day. The feeling grew from a strange unease into a deep, heavy dread. You found yourself suddenly eyeing your surroundings wherever you were, looking over your shoulder as you walked alone, asking your fiends if they had noticed something or someone.

But they always said no. And you never saw anyone, not once.

It was as though the shadows themselves were watching you, stalking you...scaring you.

Watching you at work, at home, when you were out with friends, when you were alone. The dreams kept happening, the same strange voice speaking to you from the darkness. Sometimes you woke up with a start, not because you were scared...but because you had suddenly felt as though you were no longer alone.

But you always were...at least, it seemed like you were.

You should be more careful, a beautiful creature like you.

It was all almost too much but...you tried to tell yourself that it was all in your head.

Just stress, just being overly tired, just paranoia. Just...thoughts and feelings tricking you. You were only scaring yourself, like a child seeing monsters in the darkness. But deep down, you didn't believe it. Any of it. The feeling just felt too real, too powerful to be only a figment of an overactive imagination.

You wanted to tell someone about what was going on. You even thought about going to the police. But what where you going to tell them? That you thought you were being stalked by...no one? You had no proof of anything, only a terrible feeling bubbling up deep inside. Everyone would just think that you were crazy.

So you said nothing, keeping your fears to yourself.

They couldn't have saved you anyway...

You were starting to think that you really were going crazy.

But then...it came. He came.

You'd been asleep, tossing and turning as you dreamed that strange dream again. The shadows were the same. The voice was the same. Those yellow eyes...But now you could make out what the voice was saying, just barely but...

"You're so beautiful..."

"Simply divine..."

"I waited all my life..."

"Delicate and charming..."

"To find someone like you..."

"So fun to play with..."

"I don't have to wait anymore."

You sat up.

Your heart was racing wildly as you looked around your dark room. Nothing...there was nothing...until there suddenly was.

A shadow rose up from seeming out of nowhere, taking a shape of...something. Someone. A man, a man with yellow eyes. You crawled back, pressing yourself into a corner as you stared at him. Were you still dreaming? Was this all some terrible dream?

"It's time to go, Y/N."

The voice was so calm and...so familiar. It was him...the voice from your dreams...it was all real.

Suddenly you were falling through the darkness, falling, falling, falling as you screamed. It didn't matter. No one would hear you.

And no one will find you. You're mine, darling.
