I don't own anything, not the characters and barely the plot.
When Riptide had finished silently mourning her friends she brought her hands up to her face and wasn't surprised when she felt wet streaks running down her cheeks. So, she had cried while mourning her friends. It's not like it was a surprise, she cried every time she mourned them, it was something that she wasn't able to prevent. They had been her friends, her best friends, of course, she cried over their deaths, no matter how long had gone since they died.
She was brought out of her thoughts as Megan entered the room.
"Hey, Riptide!" Megan exclaimed.
Riptide was able to use her powers to make what remained of the tears disappear before Megan saw them.
"Hi Megan," Riptide responded.
Megan sat down beside Riptide and they started chatting. Megan told her about life on Mars and Riptide listened, interested in what Megan told her.
"We should probably start working on dinner, I'm starving," Riptide said.
"Hello, Megan! Of course, we need to make dinner!" Megan exclaimed.
"Then let's go," Riptide said with a smile.

It had been a day or so after Artemis had joined their little team and most of the team still didn't trust her. Riptide did though, she trusted her. Riptide and Artemis bonded quickly, and Riptide found it very ironic how Artemis was an archer, and her thoughts went back to the Hunters of Artemis, to Thalia... When Percy had decided to leave Camp she expected to have a normal life to come, not this. Not being Riptide, not becoming a superhero, but this life was certainly better than some boring normal life. Once you joined a life of action, it was hard to leave, not that Riptide was planning to do that of course.
Currently, Riptide was chatting with Artemis, something she did daily.
"So, Riptide. Don't you think Wally's so annoying?" Artemis said. (A/N sorry if she or any other characters are out of character)
"You bet I do. Once, when he tried to flirt with me, key word tried, I punched him in the face. His nose broke, his reaction was priceless," Riptide said, smirking.
"Oh, I wish I'd been there. Kid Idiot is just so-"
"Idiotic?" Riptide finished.
"Exactly," Artemis said.
"Have you ever noticed that with his 'suit' he looks like a mustard bottle, I called him Mr. Mustard Bottle once too," Riptide said.
"Yeah, he does!" Artemis answered.
Then Wally walked over with his Wally grin.
"Whatcha girls talking about?" He asked.
"How idiotic, and mustard like you are," Riptide immediately responded.
"Mustard like?" Wally asked.
"Yeah, don't you remember. Mr. Mustard Bottle?" Riptide said.

The next mission they received was as all their other missions were. Gather information, don't be spotted, and all that jazz. The team were supposed to gather information on some evil cult that Riptide didn't bother remembering the name of. Now she wondered how they ended up in their current position.
They were all hanging over a huge bowl of water. Ropes hung from the calling and were tied around them, so they were all separately hanging over the bowl.
Then a figure stepped out of the shadows and said figure looked all too familiar. He seemed to be around 19 with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore a Roman toga over his purple shirt with faded lettering.
"Octavian?" Riptide asked. (Let's just pretend he didn't die, for the sake of the story, don't worry he won't be a hero, more of a minor villain who keeps appearing and is super annoying)
"How do you know me?" He asked.
"Ugh. Never mind," Riptide said.
Octavian then pulled out a teddy bear.
"A teddy bear? What are you gonna do with that!?" Wally asked.
Then he pulled out a knife. The entire team except for Riptide (who knew what was Octavian was going to do, due to personal experiences) and Kaldur (who'd read about him and his techniques in that book about Persephone Jackson) were utterly confused.
Without saying a word Octavian put the knife through the teddy bear and cut it open. He let the stuffed animals insides fall to the ground. He then examined the cotton as it lay on the ground and a small smirk made its way up his face.
"Honestly Octavian, why are you so quiet?" Riptide asked.
"In my book, it said his vocal chords were damaged during a battle, so that he is now unable to speak. How do you know of Octavian?" Kaldur responded.
"Uh, I just do," Riptide answered.
Then, out of the sudden, the roped started to descend and another figure stepped out of the shadows, who wore the same as Octavian, minus the toga.
"You shall now be offered to Lord Neptune," the stranger said in a deep voice.
Riptide started at the guy and Octavian as if they were crazy, which maybe they were. Offering the daughter of Poseidon to Neptune, Poseidon's Roman counterpart.
"Who's Neptune?" Wally asked, being the idiot that he is.
"You foolish mortal! Lord Neptune is the God of the Sea!" The person said.
"Wow, you plan on sacrificing me to Neptune," Riptide asked.
"Yes, do you have a problem with that, mortal," the person sneered.
Riptide resisted the urge to correct them, because she was no mortal, at least not completely.
"You know, this is a really bad idea," Riptide said.
"Why is it a bad idea, I find it a great idea," the person said.
"Depends on who you're sacrificing," Riptide said as she sent the water in the bowl at Octavian and his speaker.
She then untied herself, climbed up the rope, swung and jumped, landing on a sheet of water, that then let her fall to the ground. By the time she removed the water from Octavian and his speaker, they were gone.
She cursed in Ancient Greek.
She then went to help her teammates so they could leave this place, and one thing she was certain of- this isn't the last time Octavian will bother them.
