I don't own anything, not the characters and barely the plot.
Now Sunday had come... only one more day to school, something she was not looking forward to. She lay on her bed, utterly bored. She fiddled with the corner of her shirt. She tapped her feet against the bed. Ugh, curse you ADHD, she thought. You know what? I'm gonna hunt some monsters.
Percy sat up and walked out to the hallway. She put on her shoes, grabbed a light jacket, and put Riptide into the jacket pocket. She walked out of the door and then out of the apartment building.
She walked past the park and into the woods that lead to Camp Half-Blood. She wasn't going to Camp Half-Blood, but she knew that the woods close to Camp were full of monsters. She only walked a few meters into the woods before some small monsters attacked her. She took out her sword and sliced them all, turning them to golden dust.
A feeling made its way throughout Percy's body, the thrill of fighting monsters, the familiar feeling as a little of the golden dust landed on her face. She took a deep breath and smirked. She held her sword in an all to familiar grip and walked further into the forest.
Monsters attacked her for every meter or so she walked. The movements of the monsters all too familiar, they never changed. Her sword sliced through them, poof, golden dust. Percy laughed.
Then she heard sounds coming from the trees above her, almost as if several people trying to be stealthy sat up there. She looked up and saw several people trying to be stealthy.
"Just so you know, I know you're up there," Percy said.
"Aw, man," a familiar voice said.
Wally? She thought.
Then five people jumped down from the tree.
"Why were you killing those animals, I get they're deformed, but why?" Wally asked.
Kaldur and Percy snorted.
"You saw deformed animals?" Percy asked.
"Yeah..." Wally asked. "What did you see?"
"Monsters, monsters who want to kill me," she responded.
"What?" Artemis said.
"The mist... is something that shields most mortal eyes from seeing the truth, that's why you guys see deformed animals," Percy said.
"So, those deformed animals making their way towards us are..." Wally said.
"Yes, monsters, and stay out of it, your weapons won't work on them."
"Why?"
"Only weapons made out of celestial bronze and imperial gold can harm monsters."
Then the monsters had arrived. Percy quickly jumped at them, her sword high. She brought it down and stabbed one of them in the head. Percy sliced another's head off, then she stabbed one of them in their heart. She kept slicing and stabbing the rest until they were all golden dust.
"Come on, let's get out of here."
-
She sat in her bed in new clothes, having just stepped out of the shower. She sighed and ran the brush through her hair, getting rid of any knots.
-
The next day school began. A whole week in front of her. She sighed and walked into the classroom.
-
During lunch, she sat beside Megan and Connor. They had, all three of them, just gotten their food and were sitting at an empty table.
"Percy, you and Roy?" Megan asked.
Percy blushed and nodded.
Megan squealed in excitement and what else.
"You two are so cute together. I totally ship you guys, Artemis does too," she said.
Percy chuckled lightly.
"But you and Connor are adorable," she whispered into Megan's ear.
Both Connor and Megan blushed a deep red.
-
When they got back from school they walked to the cave together.
"I wonder when our next mission will be," Percy said.
"Me too," Megan said and Connor just grunted in response.
When they finally walked into the cave it was time for training. They walked to the training room and started training. They started with just physical training and then they were going to go against each other.
Percy worked on her powers, trying to improve them. Trying to save energy as she used them. Then she moved onto building a mental wall around her mind, something she was already pretty good at but wanted to improve upon.
Then the bell rang and it was time to fight against each other.
Percy and Megan went first. Megan started by levitating herself off the floor. Percy set up her mental barrier. Megan's eyes glowed green as she tried to attack her mind. Percy let the barrier go down slightly just to show her images of the two wars she'd participated in. All the deaths she'd seen.
Megan screamed and fell to the floor. Percy proceeded to use water to make water chains to chain her down to the floor. After several seconds she let the chains go, for she had won.
Percy held her hand above Megan, Megan grabbed her hand, and Percy helped her up.
Then Connor and Percy.
Connor lunged at her and she stepped out of the way. Connor landed on the floor. That must've hurt, she thought. Connor got up and Percy smirked. He lunged again and she sidestepped again. Same thing. When he's gotten up he ran, more like charged, at her. She stepped out of the way and left her foot out and he tripped over it. This time she used her water chains to chain his down.
Connor growled as he tried to break free, she just tightened them until she was declared the winner, and then she let him go.
She helped him up as well. Then they all headed to the showers and ... showered, what else do you do in a shower. Then Percy walked into her room and changed into some fresh clothes.
She sighed and sat down on her bed and waited for the others of the team to arrive. Kaldur was probably doing something somewhere, Robin and Artemis were still at school as Connor, Megan and she had ended early that day.
She fiddled with her thumbs and waited.
Now for the question of the chapter!
(Something I decided to start now)
What are your fears?
Personally, I'm afraid of heights, enclosed spaces, and dogs. Dogs, I mean have you seen their teeth!?
