The Cartel Part 2: A Thin Line

Staring at the numbers on the elevator, Paris watched them as it went further down. Her mind was on Kelsey.. She didn't know what was going on with her, nor what was going through her head .. all she knew was she had the same gut feeling that she always had whenever something was about to go terribly wrong ..

However, she knew Kelsey was family .. She knew she wouldn't put her kids nor her own kids in harms way purposely.. Either way, she was concerned .. Kelsey wasn't thinking straight, and that's what was upsetting Paris the most .. she didn't know if the fact Shamar had a new girlfriend had her going up the wall or if it was her boyfriend .. but either way .. something was off ..

Hearing the elevator 'ding' and the doors open, she wasn't surprised when she looked up into the faces of Shane and Shamar ..

"Where is she ?" Shamar asked

Smirking, Paris stepped out of the elevator and walked past the both of them .. "Long gone by now .." She replied truthfully ..

She could hear, Shane telling Shamar he'd talk to her .. saying their goodbye's she stood in the entrance and waited for valet to bring the car to the front or for her husband to come questioning her .. Smelling his cologne, she knew he was behind her .. He didn't say anything as they both watched the car pull up ..

Opening the door for Paris, she got inside and he went around and got in the drivers seat ..

Her mind was all over the place as she stared out the window.. Finally breaking the silence, Shane glanced over at her .. "So you gonna tell me what's up or naw ?" He asked

Sighing, Paris shook her head .. Apart of her wanted to tell him everything, but another part of her was skeptical .. "All I know is, she told me to tell Shamar to meet her at our house tomorrow at three .." She said, not taking her eyes off of the view outside of the window ..

"For what ?" He asked

"I don't know .. to talk I guess.. " Paris replied, shifting in her seat .. The thought of Gianni went through her head but she quickly dismissed it as quick as it arrived ..

Noticing her discomfort, Shane knew it was more to it than what she was telling him ..

"What else ?" He asked

"Nothing else.." She replied, her voice low

Glancing at her Shane slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road..

"What are you doing ?" Paris asked with confusion written all over her face ..

"Look me in my eyes .." He said

Rolling her eyes, Paris laughed "Man, take me home .." She said

"Paris, What else ?" He asked again, turning her face towards him he made sure she was looking directly into his eyes

Sighing, Paris shook her head "There is nothing .. That's all she said, and she wants to see the kids .." Turning her attention back outside, she had decided to keep her mouth shut .. she was gonna put aside her thoughts and trust Kelsey ..

Smirking, Shane put the car into drive and pulled back off into traffic .. "Well.. Where she been ?" He asked

"She didn't tell me .." Paris lied

"Paris, I know you feel like you owe her something but I hope you not lyin to me .. That girl been gone for 3 months .. if it's something you not tellin me you need to speak the fuck up .." He said

"And if I hear anything I will .." She replied, getting frustrated

Nodding, Shane focused his attention back on the road.. still not convinced she was telling him the truth ..
