The Cartel Part 2: A Thin Line

After taking a look around the house they had rented for a couple of weeks, Shamar sat down on the all white plush sectional that sat in the middle of the living room overlooking the ocean ..

Paris and Shane were on one wing of the house, while Shamar and Kelsey were on the other..

They were all jetlagged but they didn't come there to rest ..

Although they had the house for a couple weeks they didn't plan on being there for no more than a few days .. The plan was to handle business and leave .. in & out ..

He watched as Kelsey walked into the room and over to the balcony window, he watched as she gazed out at the ocean, she didn't look nothing like what she was going through .. licking his lips he admired her frame from the back .. Whether he wanted to admit it or not he missed everything about her .. He hadn't been himself since she had left..

"We going to Apollo tonight.." Shamar said, finally breaking the silence ..

"Apollo ?!" Turning around to face her husband Kelsey frowned ..

The last time they had went to Apollo, which was a club that Gianni's dad owned before he died.. She had aborted Gianni's baby only a month prior, and Shane and Shamar has just sealed a deal with his dad claiming his family business as their own ..

They were already well known KingPins in Miami and that's exactly why his dad wanted them to expand into Greece to take over after his unfortunate demise ..

But that was always something Gianni never understood, his dad had 3 kids to choose from .. but he chose someone outside of their family to take over instead .. so not only did he lose his father, but he lost his first unborn child, the woman he loved and his role in the Cartel all at once ..

So the last time they were at Apollo wasn't nice, he had to sit there and watch everything be taken away from him all while Kelsey sat with the man who was doing it right across from him ..

"Yeah, Apollo .. we got a meeting with Xander tonight .." He explained, referring to Gianni's older brother ..

He was the only one to stick around and work for Shane and Shamar .. and amidst of doing so he continued running Apollo..

"And what do you think he gonna do ?" Kelsey asked, folding her arms across her chest "Surely you don't think he's gonna just hand his brother over to you do you ?" She asked

"He work for me, so he better do whatever the fuck I ask him to, or it'll be consequences.. simple as that .." Shamar replied along with a nonchalant shrug..

"You shouldn't be showing him your hand, this is for our daughter Shamar, no room for fuck ups.." She said ..

"And you think I don't know that Kelsey ?" Standing up, Shamar walked over to her .. "I lost my daughter too, if I don't merk another soul on this earth I'm gonna make sure I merk that mothafucka.. Can't nobody in his family save him now .." He said

Nodding, Kelsey agreed "I trust you .." She replied

"Good .. Be ready at 8:30 .. In the mean time, we about to go handle some business.. You and Paris staying here.." He said

"And what about SJ and Mar ?" Kelsey asked referring to her and Paris' sons

"They comin with us .." He replied as he headed for the door ..

Watching him leave, Kelsey wanted to say something but instead she decided not to .. Her son was becoming more and more like his father by the day, and she was starting to realize she'd have to put all her trust in knowing that Shamar was going to teach him to be 10x's better than he'd ever be, meaning he'd know how to protect himself when the time came ..
