The Cartel Part 2: A Thin Line

Walking along side of Shamar to the car that was waiting for them, Kelsey didn't say a word and neither did Shamar .. When he got inside he simply stared out of the window thinking to himself .. She knew he was plotting in his head, and as bad as she wanted to interrupt in curiosity she didn't because she knew for certain she would be questioned next ..

The car was silent the entire time they drove back into the city, the only thing that could be heard was the sound of the road and her thoughts.. The amount of guilt she was carrying was starting to take it's toll on her...

"What are you gonna do ?" Kelsey finally asked, staring down at her fingers..

"Who all in there ?" He asked, just to see if she would lie..

"Just him and Amir.. I didn't see nobody else .." She replied as she stared at him, patiently waiting for his next question .. But he never asked another one .. instead he became quiet again .. Looking out the window until they made it back to the hotel, he didn't waste anytime getting out and heading back up to the room ..

Security opened the door for her and she rushed behind Shamar, trying to keep up with him she watched as security pressed the button for the elevator.. The doors automatically and they were greeted by Shane..

"The fuck happened ?" Shane asked as he glanced at Kelsey then back at his brother ..

"Something came up.." Shamar replied as he hit the elevator button, taking them upstairs ..

"Something like what came up? Where's Sasha ?" He asked, turning to Kelsey ..

"She's still at the warehouse .." She replied as soon as the elevator dinged ..

The elevator doors opened and they headed into the penthouse, only to be greeted this time by Paris ..

"Where's Sasha ? What the fuck happened Kelsey ?" She asked, her voice was laced with concern .. and Kelsey could tell she was already thinking the worse

"Calm down, she's okay .." Kelsey said

"What's this about Kelsey ?" Turning to look at his wife he needed to look her in her eyes, there was no room for secrets .. his daughters life was on the line and behind her he'd kill any and everybody..

Opening her mouth to speak, Kelsey couldn't form a word as she began to cry .. "I don't know.. " Heading over to the glass window that over looked the city she said whatever came to her mind, "We were out looking for her, and he just drove there .. like he already knew where she was !! At the time I didn't question him because I was just happy to have found her, I didn't think about how he drove directly to the location .. Once I mentioned taking her home that's when he hit me with the ransom .. he wants money Shamar !! I'm sorry I brought all of you into this, especially my daughter .. If I had known he was on some bullshit like this I swear I would've never got involved with him .. I'm so sorry .." She said as she broke down crying ..

"What you thinking ?" Shane asked as he turned his attention back to his brother

"Get him the plane, he already think he got the money .. We gonna get him regardless.. I don't give a fuck if it's today or next year the nigga gonna die.. but for now, we gonna give him what he want .." Shamar said

"Let's go then .." Shane replied

They headed for the door, but Kelsey called after Shamar.. stopping him at the elevator she walked over to him, pulling him into the corner bedroom she closed the door ..

"I'm so sorry .. You know I love Sasha .. you know I love my kids Shamar .." She said

"Yeah, I know that .." He replied, looking her up and down ..

Kelsey could sense a disconnect, their vibe wasn't even the same ..

"I love you too, you know that right .." She said

Staring at her, Shamar nodded "Yeah, I know .." He replied, purposely not returning the gesture ..

"You love me still ? Or did that go out the door with me ?" She asked, almost in tears ..

"It's a real thin line between love and hate Kelsey .." Shamar said right as he walked out of the door, slamming it behind him ..

Kelsey stayed in the room until she heard the elevator doors close behind them, and that's when she let her tears go .. but her moment didn't last long as she heard beating on the door .. she opened it to see Paris standing there with her arms folded ..

Sighing, Kelsey walked out of the room wiping her face .. "I'm sorry I left Paris, and I'm sorry I let Gianni take your phone .. I'm sorry, but you gotta understand I was only trying to find my daughter .. " She said as she sat down and looked up to Paris

Frowning, Paris put her hands on her hips "Kelsey don't fuck with me right now .." She said, her voice calm ..

"What the hell are you talking about ?" Kels asked

Sitting down across from Kelsey, Paris rested her elbows on her knees as she stared her sister in law in the eyes .. She wanted to be sure she caught every facial expression, every blink, every squint, every gesture she could.. to ensure she wasn't getting anything but the truth..

"Kelsey, when you left your exact words to me was you had the address, they had texted it to you and you were going to get your daughter .. But when you just was talking to Shamar you said that you didn't know where Gianni was going he just drove there on his own .. And I've checked my phone records and there is no record of a text message coming in nor going out to that number besides the one time they texted me .. so you lied to me about them texting you .. so, tell me what the fuck is going on or I'll go to Shane and Shamar myself and tell them everything I know .." Sitting back in her chair she watched as Kelsey did the same then let out a sigh ..
