-Chapter 3- Suite
"Who would've thought? Is this your hotel too?" I ask. He nods.
"Yeah! I'm on floor... four!" I smack his arm playfully.
"No way! That's my floor too!" I giggle. He wraps his arm around my shoulders.
"This has become an interesting trip." He winks. I just laugh again.
"How so?"
"Well first of all, I met this beautiful girl on the plane who is also staying at the same hotel." I raise my eyebrow whilst wiggling out of his grasp.
"Really?"
"Yep. She's quite a character! I would like to know her better." He smirks. I sigh and the elevator door opens for us to get out. "So Violet, which room are you in? I might drop by once in a while." I smile at him.
"28 and remember to knock!" I wave good-bye to him and leave to find my own room. I roll my luggage down the hallway. Stopping in front of my room I take out the key the lady gave me and unlock the door. I open the door and the room is marvelous. Like the lobby, the room has a homely feel to it. I walk inside and drop my things while shutting the door.
The first thing you see when you come in is the living room, which consists of TV, a huge couch, lamp post and lamp, coffee table, and a couple of single couches. I think I see some videogame systems too. Next to the living room is the kitchen, it's fairly big. The granite countertop creates a sort of wall between the kitchen and the living room. One side has three neatly pushed in mahogany chairs and on the other had a sink with a dish rack right next to it.
I shuffled into the kitchen and glide my fingers on the smooth granite surface of the island. I decide to take a peek at inside the refrigerator. Inside there was some drinks, fruit, and some ice cream. Then I look at the wall ovens and stovetops to make sure it's safe and ready to use. These are great! Crystal clean too! I can't wait to create something in here! I skip happily into the living room daydreaming about the delicious things I will make. In the corner of my eye I see a gift basket on the coffee table. How did I not see that before? I sit down on the comfy couch in front of the table and open the card.
'Violet, what do you think of your suite? You'll be staying there for a week so make yourself comfortable. This is a present from the owner of this place; he wants you to be comfortable and have a nice stay so don't hesitate to ask for something. Can't wait to see your work! -Dan'
I turn around and realize that this place must be expensive to live in for a week. I immediately take out my phone and just my luck, it's out of battery. I groan, pulling out my phone charger and plugging it into the wall socket. I walk over to the phone the hotel provides and dial Dan's number. After a couple rings he picks up.
"Hello? Dan speaking." He says.
"Hi Dan it's Violet! I was just wondering how much this suite cost."
He sighs. "Violet..."
"It's a lot isn't it? Dan, just take some of the money out of my pay check to help pay for it." I order.
"No can do Violet. We had a deal."
"Dan! Forget about the stupid deal!"
"No Violet. That's final."
