A week later

It had been a whole week since Valencia's emotional breakdown, and the two friends didn't speak on it after that night. Sade knew how Val felt about things like that and they just moved on, leaving it in the past.

They spent that week unpacking everything, the twins came over a good majority of the time to help out with the heavy lifting and stuff. At first it was just Jake but the next day and after that, Josh tagged along as well. And he himself knew why. To see Valencia.

He loved spending time with or around her. His brother teased him about it on drives home, telling him he acted like a schoolboy doing just about anything just to get near his crush. Any time was precious time.

He had helped her decorate her room, hanging up frames and posters as she'd step back and tell him what ways to shift. They hung up lights and planned out what would look best where; decorated the halls and such with things either herself or Sade bought, sometimes things they thrifted and revamped. It was warm and cozy all around, blending together their personal aesthetics.

Jake and Sade caught up with one another. Jake knew her well enough to decide whether she needed a printed or faux furry rug to tie her room together and whatnot. Sade told him about the things he missed when he was out of town like how a well known neighbor was caught messing around with a coworker when he had a whole family at home.

Evenings where spent on the back patio around a table, kicking back and sipping on beers as the twins shared stories of their adventures across the world. Crazy backstage moments, cool famous people and antics on the bus.

It was only a week and it felt like they had been hanging out since forever.

"You cannot trust Sammy, I'm telling you!" Jake laughed before taking a sip. He had been sharing yet another story.

"He doesn't seem that bad." Val laughed along as they all sat around the dining table enjoying a quick breakfast. Sammy wasn't there to defend himself and someone had to do it. Right?

"Oh trust me." Josh jumped in, eyebrows raised. "He's done some pretty nasty things to people. He's like a little devil child." He made a face.

"Yeah right." She rolled her eyes, not believing what they were saying. "Throw the youngest one under the bus like you two are perfect little saints. Puh-lease."

"Trust me Val. Don't fall into his act. He can't take you too." Jake joked.

"Sam's a good kid, how can he not be stubborn when he has you two." Sade said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Josh demanded in a pitched voice.

"You know damn well Josh." Sade chuckled, she loved pissing him off. He always got all riled up for nothing.

Josh humfed and continue eating, causing Sade to stifle a laugh.

The four continued before the twins headed home to prepare for later that night.

A couple hours later

The sun was long gone, with it being a Friday night, the atmosphere all around just felt energized.
