THREE YEARS LATER

I never imagined that this is how it feels to be truly happy. The feeling that everyday you wake up and the first thing you will see is the face of your love whom you'll spend time with for the rest of your life.

Marriage life is not easy. Juggling my work plus being a mom to the twins and a wife to James, sure it was a very stressful and hard job at times. There were misunderstandings and fights and I guess that's just normal but what's important is that at the end of the day you both fix the problem. Together.

My life with James is what I really dreamed of. He is clearly the man that I want to spend my life with and to be the father of my children. He's understanding, patient, and caring. I couldn't even ask for more.

"You're bragging me again on your interview, huh?"

I stopped typing my draft when James snuggled and kissed my cheek. I smiled and looked at him. He really look more handsome when he's on his suit. Damn!

"The editor in chief of Mega made me do that. Ang corny nga eh!" I joked at him and he pouted his lips. It was my answer for the interview questions because I will be the cover of next month's issue of Mega.

Tumayo ako sa pagkakaupo ko and James automatically wrapped his arms on my waist. He kissed me on my lips at napatawa nalang ako. Hinubad ko ang coat niya leaving only his white long sleeves.

"How's work, Love?"

"Hmm it's great. Bukas pupunta ako sa bahay ng isang bagong client for their fitting."

Naningkit ang mata niya nung sinabi ko iyon. I know what he's thinking kaya napatawa nalang ako.

"Love, relax. I am with Barbie tomorrow and I can take care of myself. Okay? Masyado kang praning."

Tumawa ako at seryoso pa din ang mukha niya. Ayaw niya kasing napapagod pa ako sa kakapunta sa mga clients ko kasi baka daw mapagod ako.

"Well Love, by the way where's the twins?"

"They're sleeping Love. Why?"

James smiled devilishly and my face heated. Napatakip nalang ako ng mukha at tawang tawa siya dahil sa reaction ko. Damn James knows how to play this game! He's such a teaser!

"Love, you're thinking other things huh? What's that Love? Can you tell me what is it you're thinking?"

"James!"

He hugged me and kissed my forehead. Magaling talaga siyang mang-asar minsan nakakainis kasi hindi man lang ako maka ganti.

We spent the whole day doing nothing. We were just lying in our bed cuddling each other and telling each other what went through for the whole day.

This is my favorite part. Yung kahit na pagkatapos ng mahabang araw, uuwi ang taong mahal mo sayo na kahit pareho kayong pagod may oras pa rin kayo para sa isa't isa.

"What do you think will happen Love if you didn't gave me another chance?"

Napatingin ako sa kanya and his expression changed. He sincerely looked into my eyes like he really wanted to know my answer.

"Walang Sky and Sunshine?"

Napatawa nalang siya at kinurot ang aking ilong. What? That's true! Bakit sa tingin niya ba kung hindi ko siya pinatawad may Sky at Sunshine kaya ngayon? Diba wala?

"Love."

"Hmm?"

He caressed my face and I smiled at him. He looked me seriously and after all this years I am still falling in love with this man. His eyes, they never lie. I can see truth in everything everytime I'll stare at James' eyes.

"Thank you for giving me a second chance even though I don't deserve that."

Napakunot ang noo ko dahil sa sinabi niya. "What? Don't say that James. You know you're more than worth it."

I noticed he's teary eyed already and so I kissed him. It was a passionate one and I felt James' love for me.

He switched position and in a swift move, he's already on top of me. He was about to remove my blouse when someone knocked on our door. I bit my lower lip and saw how frustrated James is.

"Damn it!"

Napatawa ako dahil sa naging reaksyon niya at tinulungan akong ibalik ang damit ko. Tumayo siya para buksan ang pinto and it was the twins. Anong oras na ba at bakit gising na ang mga 'to?

From being frustrated, James' face lit up as he saw our twins. He carried the twins and merrily greeted their daddy.

"Hi daddy, hi mommy did we disturb you?"

Napatingin ako kay James at napatawa sa pagkibit balikat niya. The twins hugged me right away and kissed me on my cheek.

"No baby. Dad and I were just playing when you knocked on the door."

Tumabi si James sa amin at napangiti. Seeing my family happy is what matters most to me. There was this warmth in my heart seeing this happy children in our bed.

"Mommy, Daddy, we love you."

The twins hugged us and James did as well. Napagitnaan namin ang dalawang bata and James kissed my forehead and mouthed the word "thank you."

I don't know why pero naiiyak ako. I just wished a happy life with my family but it was beyond what I prayed for. I am just thankful for all the angels and to Him for giving me a happy life that I will be forever grateful for the rest of my life.
