Introduction

The year is 8836. After the 5th world war, twenty years ago, China took over the United States of America. The Chinese Emperor, Minn Ju, changed the name of all the States when they took over. It wasn't the U.S.A. anymore, it was the United Chinese Nation, or U.C.N.
There was no more freedom in "America." There was so many new rules. Just for the simplest of things, there were rules. Just to name a few...
+ You are not allowed to cheat on your partner, married or not, without punishment.
+ You are not allowed to date outside of your grade and or generation.
+ You cannot have more than 4 children.
+ You are not allowed to get divorced.
+ If you are proven too smart, you will be jumped to the next education level.
... But if only old America, if only they could see their nation now. The changes that took place after they lost the war.

With that, the story sets in what used to be Utah, but was renamed RealN State, after China took over. The town is called Sweetener. The high school was Universal High. But this is a story about a forbidden love, between Emma Jones, born in 8811 on August 15th, age 15, and Jose Fuller, born on December 31st, 8808, age 17. And this is their story of how they changed the little town of Sweetener, forever.
... So it begins on August 6th, Tuesday, 8836, on the first day of school, for Emma's sophomore year and Jose's junior year...
