They woke up thinking of each other too. Emma thought of how she could tease him and how she should listen to her mother, to not fall for the forbidden ones, even though she will. Jose thought of how he could look into Emma's deep blue eyes with an excuse, maybe she'll have a lucky eyelash on her face.

Emma wore her paw print hoodie over her black jeans with her natural hair and no makeup. Jose wore his black and teal diamond sweater with dark blue jeans. He pushed his hair back and grabbed his keys to leave. Emma was waiting for Roxy again as routine.

The bell rung and day 2 began. Emma couldn't help but smile waiting to see him walk in. She didn't know the feelings that had over come her. Jose walked in smiling. He walked to their assigned table.

"Good morning, Emma Jones," he said with a big smile, he too didn't know the feelings that had over came him. He was happy to see her.

"And good morning to you sir, are you going to let me do all the assignments again today?" she said with a smirk on her face, though, she had just melted inside with him saying her name.

"Oh, really, now? Well Emma Jones, I just might. It depends."

"I must insist you try and help on whatever we do today. And you can call me, Emma, you don't have to say my full name. Maybe I'll even let you call me Em."

"Whatever you say, Em," he grinned. She rolled her eyes, still smiling.

Mrs Jillian interrupted their conversation as she started speaking to the class, "this week, we will begin with the periodic table. This is essential for us to know and understand before we move on to anything else." There used to be only 118 elements but there's 308 elements, most of them man-made.

Emma knew she was horrible at remembering all 308 elements. She hatched a plan to hang out with Jose hoping he was better with this than she was.

Jose kept at the same morning saying, "good morning, Emma Jones." A couple of times he said Em and other times he called her Emma. They didn't have homework for the elements until Friday. So when the bell rang that day, as they packed up their notebooks, Emma tapped Jose's shoulder.

"Hey, I was wondering if you could help me with the homework. I suck at elements, and chemistry in general," she said with puppy dog eyes, begging.

He looked into her deep blue eyes, "if you really want me to help you, I will. Give me your phone and open your contacts," he demanded.

Emma handed him her phone. He took it and put in his number, "text me if you want me to help you," he said. He handed the phone back and left the classroom. He did so quickly because he had a spark in his heart that was never there with Alex, he didn't know what was happening. He felt like he wanted her. She bit her lip at the idea of texting him. There was a feeling they both felt that they couldn't stop after teasing each other all week.

They both continued on with their day. When Emma got home from school, she did her homework from other classes and debated if she needed help on the chemistry homework or not. She pulled out her phone and texted Jose, Hey it's Emma, I could use some help on the homework. She waited for him to answer back.

It was almost 15 minutes after that when he had replied, Emma... Oh you mean that crazy girl from chemistry? What do you need help with, Em? She could hear his voice in her head as she read the text.

Well sir, I need help with... Like all of it. I remember nothing from this week. Is there a way I can meet you somewhere or something? Maybe we can work on the homework together.

He smiled, I can meet you in 30 minutes after I get off work. How does Clownous Café sound?

That sounds pretty okay. Emma got up to get ready to leave, she would have to walk there... She double texted Jose, Is there any way you could pick me up? I don't really want to walk.

I'll see you in 30 mins then, he said.

30 MINUTES LATER

Emma had been waiting on the curb for about 5 minutes before Jose arrived. He looked extremely tired. She felt kind of bad for asking for help. She buckled up and they headed to the café.

This wasn't a date, just a hang out. They had talked all week in class, almost getting in trouble a couple of times, but this was their best beginning for the things they would face later.
