Although the connection between Emma and Jose felt like a fairytale, she wouldn't change it. Roxy had planted the idea in Emma's head that she could change the world with Jose by her side. Emma thought about this, and all it would take.

Every year since 7th grade, Julie George would throw a costume party at her parents' hotel on the upper east side of Sweetner. This had become the biggest party of the fall semester. Julie, she hated having her party on All Hallow's Eve. It was November 3rd when she threw her annual party. She liked to be "original."

Julie George left Emma last year for Emma's ex-boyfriend, Kyle Jean. The three used to be super close. Their love triangle overruled their friendship, eventually breaking it.

Around the 20th, Julie said she would be handing out invites to her party. Emma didn't expect that while sitting with Roxy during lunch, Julie would come up to them.

Pulling two light blue envelopes out of her Gucci backpack, Julie rolled her eyes and handed Roxy and Emma the invitations, "look, I know we're not in the finest way, but I would still like you to come to my party. Everyone important will be there, I would hate for you to miss out."

Roxy smiled, accepting the invitations for the both of them, "how lovely of you to say we're important. Thank you." She turned her head away from Julie and handed Emma her invitation. Julie stayed for a second after then left realizing Roxy was being sarcastic. They opened the invitations. The invites said: NOVEMBER 3RD! Starting @ 6:00! In The Grand Tiptonly Hotel! Julie George Is Hosting Her Annual HALLOWEEN Party! Costume Contest Starts At 7, Including A Couples' Contest!

"You really expect me to go to this?" blurted Emma after she read the invitation. "After what she did?"

"I expect you to have fun! And to not let her ruin sophomore year for you," said Roxy. She got up and threw their lunch trays away.

"Fine, you're right. But it's weird, weird how she just comes up here like nothing happened. She's always been a tad suspicious," Emma eyed the invitation, not knowing what strings were attached.

"I know, Em. But look, it'll be fun. The chances of spending time with her is very low."

"True... Are you going to enter the costume contest? Oo, you should do the couple's with Nathan!"

"Emma! We're not a couple!"

"Mm, sure, sure. But you don't have to be a couple to enter."

"In that case, if you don't have to be a couple, why don't you and Jose enter?" Out of the corner of Roxy's eye, she spotted Jose Fuller headed their way. He held the same blue invitation that Julie had given Emma and her. "Why don't ask him now, here he comes." Turning around, Emma smiled at the sight of her true love. While their relationship was forbidden, they hung up occasionally at school and at his house. He sat down next to Emma, shoulder hugging her, then he placed his invite on the table.

"Ms. Ganza, Ms. Jones," said Jose, he liked to sound formal sometimes. "I'm sorry to interrupt you ladies, but I see you got an invite to Julie's party. We should go together." Looking at Rozy, "you should bring Nathan, we could all enter the couple's contest as a group instead of couple's."

"That could be fun," said Roxy, "but what would we dress up as? Something like a classic early centuries style, or modern?"

"How about you go get Nathan, Rox? Then we can decide, maybe he won't even want to go," said Emma.

"Alright, I can a hint, I'll go," replied Roxanna before getting up to retrieve Nathan.
