Psyche's Chronicles. Confidential (Deleted Files)
Dearest husband,
This evening, you surprised us when you came home for dinner. I've once again humiliated myself by smiling widely and wildly at you while you were eating pasta and I can't even wipe that stupid glee on my face. You actually even asked me what's funny. Nothing was. In fact, I think I was acting funny. Then when you retired to your room, I actually had the bravery to sneak inside it to check on you and when I found out that you were sleeping soundly, I took advantage and touched your face. Then I whispered I love you. I just can't contain it. I wish I still have this audacity to tell you this face to face when Juliet isn't involved.
Juliet cannot love you this way, my Prince. I am your Genie and I am your wish coming to life.

" And what do you expect? He'll open his arms and be friends with you like nothing happened? Like you didn't ask him for an annulment when he begged for forgiveness? "
Joei said while sorting some important adoption documents, making it sure that they aren't going to make the same mistakes of losing receipts again. Psyche turned her head to her best friend. She was musing. Thinking of what happened when she attempted making her way to Benedict when her son was interviewed in one of those famous talk shows. She frowned when her thoughts were interrupted.
" Joei, why do I have the feeling that you actually sound to me like this is all my fault? "
" Uh-uh! No! I didn't say that, excuse me. "
Joei said, moving her index finger to disagree.
" I was only wondering if you are actually complaining now that your ex is giving you the Elsa treatment? "
Psyche almost rolled her eye on that. The cold never bothered me anyway - The Richard Armani version, of course.
" I don't associate it with complaining, Joei. "
" And what exactly is this? "
The man was indifferent. That shouldn't bother her, really. Or maybe Joei's right. She was actually expecting at least a little bit of friendship from him. Or maybe she was just not expecting that he's that cold on her. Or maybe she wasn't even expecting that he'll treat her like they didn't share anything enormous in between. Or more likely, she's just that stupid.
" Nothing. Forget it. "
She said, a little downhearted, most especially with what had happened last week. Psyche lamely stood, her thoughts were not about her ex-husband anymore. It was all about Benedict. Her son is turning twelve next week and she hasn't spoken to him for a year. Thanks to his newly hired bodyguards who didn't recognize her at all.
Joei scowled at her.
" Hey, is everything OK? "
Once again, her best friend knew her too well. She stood in front of Joei and rested her butt cheeks against her working table.
" Not really. I mean, Benedict--- "
" It's his twelfth birthday next week and son-of-a-bitch, those sniffing bodyguards didn't let you come close to him last week? Right? "
She folded her hands in front of her and nodded. She can't reach Benedict in all forms of social media. It was like, he deactivated, she wasn't certain. Even his phone number wasn't the same anymore. It was as if her son stopped any implications that have to do with them as a family? As if there was suddenly a massive wall that cut her off from his son's life? The very idea made her terribly sad.
