Shais POV:
Tonight theo is going to meet my family. I'm really nervous. What if my family doesn't like theo. My parents are coming into Atlanta today. We're going to meet them at this fancy restaurant. But it's not to fancy. I just hope my family likes him but mostly my father. I'm getting ready for the dinner. I wear this short sleeve that is flowly at the bottom it's light pink. I am wearing a white leggings and and light pink flats. I'm doing my makeup. Then I hear a knock on the door I walk over to the door and open it. It's theo
"Come in" I say
Theo comes in, he is wearing a black polo shirt and black jeans and black converse.
"I'm really nervous shai" theo says
"Your gonna be fine theo, who can't like you?" I say
"Your parents" he says
I kiss him on the cheek "your gonna be fine baby I promise" I say
He smiles.
"I'm gonna get finished getting ready" I say
"Okay" he says
I walk back into the bathroom putting my makeup on but not a lot.
Theos POV:
I'm really nervous about meeting Shais family. I love her and I don't wanna mess up this relationship because of me. I don't wanna screw it up. I just hope everything goes well. Me and shai have been dating for 4 weeks so far and the media already knows. Then shai comes out of the bathroom and sits in the couch next to me. She leans her head on my shoulder.
"Shai, I just want you to know no matter what happens tonight I will always love you" I say
"I know" she says
I lean in and brush my lips with hers. I fit her mouth to hers. I kiss her passionately. I start to kiss her jawline.
"Theo" shai says
I start to kiss her neck. Then she pulls away.
"We have to leave now, there gonna be at restaurant In 15 minutes" she says
"Okay" I say
"It will be okay I promise" she says

We finally arrive at the restaurant. We get out of the car. shai told me that her parents were divorced. She said it was really hard to get them together on one night but there friends so it will be okay. She holds my hands and interlocks her fingers with mine, showing me that it will be okay. We walk up the steps leading inside of the restaurant. We walk inside.
"Mom, dad!" Shai Saids
She walks up to them and hugs them.
"Theo, this is my mom Lori and my dad lonnie. she says
I shake hands with all them. "Nice to meet you" I say
"Nice to meet you" Shais mom says
Shai walks up to the host and says "reservation for woodley" shai says
"Follow me" the host says
He sits us down at a long table and hands our menus.
"Enjoy" the hosts says
"So theo were you born at?" Shais mom Saids
"England, I was born in England" I say
"Wow, how interesting" she says with a smile
"So theo what do you love about shailene?" Says Shais father
"We'll mr. Woodley, shailene is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, she is very caring, funny, and perfect" I say
"Hmm" he says
Shai looks nervous. I'm not sure what he is going to say but I'm staring to get nervous too.
"So theo, what was your longest relationship?" He says
"Excuse me?" I say
"You heard me" he says
Shais head drops down its like she knows what is going to happen.
"Uh, 5 years" i say
"5 years you say, hmm you seem like a heartbreaker boy" he says
"Excuse me?" I say
"Lonnie stop it" Shais mom Saids
"You seem to date someone for a long time and decide to break there heart, I don't you being around my daughter" he says
"Theo is not like that at all!" Shai says
"Oh yes he is, I forbid you to be with my daughter" he says
"Lonnie stop, you can't do that she is 22!" Shais mom Saids
"Yes, I can I am her father, you can see him anymore shailene!" He says
No no. I can't look shai. I love her. She makes me happy, I need her I can't loser her. She is my everything.
Shailene starts to cry and runs outside the restaurant.
"Go talk to her theo, I'll talk to her father" lori Saids
I nod and run out outside to find shai sitting on the curb on the street crying.
"Shai, please don't cry" I say
"I can't, I love you too much theo" shai says
"I love you too, shai it's going to be alright" I say
"No it's not!, I can't see you anymore!" She says
"Yes you can, your 22 shai, you can see whoever you want, your not a teenager anymore you can't be told what to do anymore" I say
I regret saying that. I screwed it up, I screwed everything up!
"No you're right, I am not gonna listen to my father" she says
"Good, now Come here" I say
She wraps her hands around me and rests her head on my chest.
"I love you so much theo" she says
"I know" I say
Then I see Lori coming out of the restaurant. She walks over to us me and shai stand up just standing there confused.
"Theo, I apologize for tonight" Lori says
"No no it's alright mrs. Woodley" I say
"No I am really am, shailene father is just very a control freak, that's one of the reasons we got divorced, I want you to be with my daughter, I want you to make her happy and call me Lori" she smiles
"Thank you so much, you won't regret it, I will do anything to make your daughter happy!" I say
"My pleasure, I'm gonna go pay for the check it's on me since what happened tonight, you two go home and get some sleep" Lori says
"Thank you" I smile
Shai walks over to Lori and hugs her.
"I love you so much mom" shai says
"I love you too honey, I'll talk to you later" Lori says
Shai nods and she waves goodbye and walks back to the restaurant.
I am happy to have shai in my life she is my everything ⌘
