Ayesha watched as the golden confetti fell from the ceiling after the Warriors' had won the game. She was smiling but on the inside all she could think about was the state of her home. She wasn't sure what had happened but all the magic had faded away, there were a lot more arguments and the warm sense of their home was gone. In fact some days she'd rather be anywhere but there if her children weren't there. She glanced at Stephen's face and he wasn't even trying to hide the fact that the situation was heavy on his heart and mind. Ayesha glanced down at her 2 girls who had no idea that the perfect world they knew was slowly crumbling around them. Stephen and Ayesha kept up the happiness around their children because they didn't want them to be exposed to all the negativity.
After the game Ayesha took both of her children to the back where they stood waiting on Stephen. Soon he came from around the corner where both Riley and Ryan took off running to their father and he picked them up with a smile. Soon as he saw Ayesha his smile faltered and a look of concern appeared.
Stephen: What's wrong?
Ayesha: Huh
Stephen: You okay?
Ayesha: Definitely
Stephen: You're crying Ayesha
Ayesha felt her face feeling tears which had fallen and she shook her head wiping her face with her sleeve.
Ayesha: Allergies
Stephen: Esh-
Klay: Steph we got a press conference
Stephen: Coming
Ryan: I wanna go daddy!
He glanced at me one last time, before picking up Ryan and leaning over kissing my lips slowly. I almost felt a spark, the same magic that was there before.
Ayesha: We'll be here...
He walked off slightly playing with Ryan while he walked. At the press conference he was distracted, and it showed his answers coming off unclear. He wanted everything to be okay with Ayesha, he wanted them to make it but at the rate they were going it wasn't looking good.
While Ayesha waited for her husband to return, a girl approached her unexpectedly. Ayesha looked at the girl, her grip on Riley's hand tightening.
Ayesha: Yes?
Girl: My name's Tara and I just thought you should know that your husband and I have been seeing each other for the past couple of weeks.
Usually Ayesha would've been quick to shut down the thought of Stephen cheating on her but as of now she wasn't immune to the idea. She pointed Riley to a seat because she didn't need to be hearing this right now.
Ayesha: *sigh* do you have proof?
Tara proceeded to pull out her phone and go to her messages allowing Ayesha to scroll through them. Ayesha handed the girl the phone back, her heart more broken then it already was.
Ayesha: Did you two—
Tara: I wish...but no we just made out a little bit and he felt bad so it didn't go any further.
So he does have some kind of feelings, Ayesha walked away from the Tara girl picking up Riley and heading in the direction of the press-conference. As of now she was pissed off so she let that dictate her actions as she stepped onto the small stage grabbing Ryan off of Stephen's lap cutting off his sentence.
Stephen: Excuse me for a second
It had taken him a moment to process what just happened so by the time he'd gotten out of his seat Ayesha was a good distance away with both his children with her. He chased after her finally getting to her at the car as she strapped both girls in their car-seats.
Stephen: Yo, what's up with you?
Ayesha: Ask Tara
His face fell with a knowing look making Ayesha scoff as she tried to get in the front seat but Stephen pushed the door closed.
Stephen: Just chill out for a second and listen to me
Ayesha: Fuck you Stephen! I'm done trying to pretend we're going to pull through because at the rate we're going it's not looking like it but then again I'm trying not to just quit on your stupid ass because I've given you MY LIFE! Do you get that? All these years I've been with you I gave you kids, you were my first everything! So thinking of life without you would be pretty fucking hard to get used to! I can't fucking believe you! You just want to throw us away, more specifically me though right?!
Stephen: We will fix us Ayesha, we just in a bad spot right about now. I'm not divorcing you so throw that shit out the window now. I know you're pissed and feeling a lot of different emotions but it takes 2 to tango so we can go to counseling and—
Ayesha: We're going home, you're packing your shit, and hear me when I say this. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHERE YOU GO! With every word you say it just makes me want to beat the shit out of you even more...so heed my warning.
She walked around the passenger side and got in the car. Stephen sighed getting in the car and the ride home was silence. He waited until both girls were sleeping to begin packing up things he'd need for however long he'd be gone. Ayesha simply stood and watched with an expressionless look on her face.
I had just put the last of my bags in the car and I was going to go in and kiss the girls before I left but Ayesha didn't move out the doorway.
Stephen: Seriously?
Ayesha: You're not coming back in this house
Stephen: So you gone keep my daughters from me
Ayesha: I'm going to make you suffer Wardell before I even think about beginning to forgive you. I hope you got enough clothes because you won't be stepping foot in this house for a while.
I looked at her, pretty sure my expression said enough because her hard expression actually softened as I turned around about to get in the car.
Ayesha: Stephen
I turned around and I was met by her lips on mine, I was caught off guard but I kissed back. Our lips moved in sync as I felt one of her tears fall onto me. Eventually she pulled away from the kiss
Ayesha: I'll um-figure out something for when you can see Ryan and Riley just—um—lemme know when you find a place.
She wiped her face before heading in the house and shutting the door, I sighed once again getting in the car and driving off. For now it was safe to say that Love was lost just not entirely.
