I bobbed my head to the music as I shot some practice shots before the game. I'd been playing basketball for as long as I could remember, so I was grateful for the opportunity to continue playing in college.

I noticed my friend Shelomi walking over to me with a smile on her face, so I removed my headphones so I'd be able to hear her.

"There go your man." she pointed towards the entrance where Shedeur and Shilo were walking in and taking there usual seats. Shedeur and I had been together for the past 2 years, actually meeting through Shelomi.

Whenever I wasn't being a basketball player I was being his cheerleader. If either of us was missing from the others event, something was wrong. I smiled at him as I walked over, "Wassup" he said embracing me, our height difference obvious.

"Man aint you supposed to locking in." Shilo teased, making me laugh "Shut up I'm getting my good luck." I responded, proceeding to do our handshake before going back over to the bench.

I noticed one of the girls from the other team mugging me and I already knew what kind of game it was gone be.

By the first half the girls were up by 20, me and Shilo being the loudest every time either one of them scored. It was definitely a contact heavy game though, and some of the fouls weren't even being called. We watched as Ari went for a layup and was shoved hard as she came back down, leading to her lying on the ground obviously in pain.

I hurriedly walked over, pushing past the girl that had done it and crouching down towards Ari. "You good bae? You can walk it off?" I asked, and she just shook her head no. "Come on I got you." I stated picking her up and walking towards the locker room.

The trainer looked at her and determined it was a bad sprain and she'd be out for a while. I knew she had to be feeling down, but I knew she'd be back on the court before she knew it.

"Don't even trip, you know I got you with the therapy." I said reaching over and grabbing her hand, making her give me a small smile.

"I appreciate you, you know that?" she asked making me nod.

One thing this relationship would never be lacking, is support.
