Brooklyn Amari Jordan
I loved my life. I was married to the sexiest man on the plant and I had a beautiful 2 year old daughter, Amari Brielle Jordan. I wouldn't change a thing but tonight nobody in the house could be trusted.

It was the night before Thanksgiving and I'd made my signature red velvet cake. It's Amari's favorite cake and Michael will tell anybody in a heartbeat that it's the best thing since Jesus. He's been asking me to make one for about 6 months now and I didn't start making it until after he left in hopes of it making it to the table uncut tomorrow.

So I hid the perfectly white frosted cake on top of the fridge behind some paper towels. He doesn't really have reason to go snooping around up there so hopefully my plan works. I put Amari to bed and then got to bed myself.

I let out a sigh as I walked into my house, putting my keys on the table. I walked upstairs checking on Amari and Brooklyn, the loves of my life. After showering, I just slid on some sweatpants and I was just gonna grab a bottle of water before I went to sleep.

I walked downstairs and grabbed my water but I tripped over one of Mari's toys spilling some of it. I looked around for paper towels but there were none on the roll, I reached up to the top of the fridge grabbing a fresh one seeing a red velvet cake stashed away. I quickly wiped up the water and pulled the cake down as quietly as possible.

I did a little dance as I lifted the lid and the smell immediately filled my nose. I cut me a decent sized piece and took a bite, I nodded in approval but when I looked to my right I stopped chewing seeing Amari standing there staring at me.

"Hey princess"
"Mhmm hey daddy"
I chuckled "why you say it like that"
"Mommy said we're not supposed to eat the cake until tomorrow"
She walked over towards me and I picked her up sitting her on the counter.
"Well what if we just don't tell mommy about this"
"I want a piece of cake"

I broke her off a piece and handed it to her. We sat there and talked while we ate cake and then I put it back in it's hiding spot and put Amari back to bed and then I climbed in bed beside Brooklyn.

Brooklyn
I woke up extra early to start cooking that morning, and I froze in my tracks when I noticed the paper towels weren't on top of the fridge anymore. I sighed going to pull down the cake seeing a giant chunk of it was missing.
"MICHAEL BAKARI JORDAN!!!!!"
He came running down the stairs obviously discombobulated from just waking up.
"What-what's wrong?" He froze looking at the cake as a small smile formed on his face.
"I don't know how that happened but—"
Before he could finish his sentence I grabbed a fork and threw it at him making him run away laughing.
"I love you bae!" He yelled
"I love your fat ass too" I grumbled trying to hide my smirk.
