A/N: We're bringing it back around to TIVI! This is another of Chance_loving_Fry's ideas.

Tim is still 37 years old. Adam is 25, Chance is 18 (and in his senior year of high school), Rob is 17 (in his junior year of high school), and Austin is 15 (and a freshman in high school); the school-aged fellas are doing all their courses by distance-learning means (part of it are books at home and another part is online)

Avi is still 29 in this story. I hope I did better with this one than the last mini-series ;) And yes, this will be another mini-series :P

Avriel Kaplan. Best selling author. Kind, generous soul. Gay man. Scarred man. He had finally gotten settled in his new home, in a new city, in a new state. It was far out of town and off the main road. The house was nestled in a secluded wooded area which he loved. The driveway was about a mile long and lined with beautiful giant trees. It was rather large, too large for a single man really, but he tried to make it a warm and inviting home.

There weren't many photos in his house

There weren't many photos in his house. The ones that littered the house, were of his family and of him before the incident many years ago. Avi sighed after he realized December had hit. As many fans as he had, he was a very lonely man. Any friends he had back home in California, had more or less abandoned him after the incident. He covered up all the mirrors in the master bedroom and bathroom.

Avi didn't want to be reminded of the event. Or what people said about and to him. Or the fact that he was certain no one would ever love him because of the way he looked. All he had were his books and the ideas for his books that were still floating around in his head. He sat in his office and stared out the big bay windows. Another Christmas was coming. Another year all by himself. 'Hopefully I won't get bullied out of town again.' he sighed as he noticed the year's first snowfall beginning.

"Timmy?" Austin called out from the living room.

"Yeah?"

"I, uh, I think the heat has been turned off." Austin's voice cracked.

"Fuck!" They all heard Tim's deep voice exclaim.

"It was either pay the heat or buy groceries. I'm sorry, Tim." Adam looked down at his hands as his older brother came out from the master bedroom.

Tim sighed as he saw three of his brothers huddled together on the raggedy couch under a blanket.

"It's not your fault, Adam. You made a decision between two options. We can survive without heat. We can't survive without food." Tim ran his hand through his hair, "Try to keep bundled up. Rob, Chance? See about nailing some of the thicker blankets in the hallway to the bedroom and then into the kitchen. We can bring one space heater in here and try to keep this room warm during the day."
