A/N: I wasn't planning on having a Christmas one-shot this year but then this idea came to as I was, coincidentally, watching a Scooby Doo Christmas episode. No, it's not based on said episode, it just gave me a few ideas.

Anyway, for your Christmas-y pleasure, I present to you my Christmas one-shot for 2019 :D I hope you all enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!

Rockinggrane Hollow was a sleepy mountain town in Colorado. Most folks lived there for the peace and quiet but worked elsewhere. Most families in Rockinggrane Hollow had lived there for decades if not longer. It was an old town dating back to the mid-1800's. Nothing spectacular could be said about it other than how quaint and charming it was. There was no wild, crazy, or outrageous history to the town.

There was hardly any crime. Everyone knew one another and looked out for one another. There was one gas stationed owned by the same family since it had been built. There was one hotel, again owned by the same family since it had been constructed. There was one auto garage and one small grocery store. There was only one cop in town.

The Foust family owned the hotel. The owner,Tim, ran the hotel with his mother Dena. She was in charge of the employees andday-to-day business while he handled everything else. He was quite proud oftheir hotel and was thankful it was still doing good business. RockinggraneHollow was what most folks would call a "stop-over" town and Tim was fine withthat. It ensured his hotel stayed in business!

'Ugh, what is wrong with this fucking car now?' Adam Rupp thought as he drove along the icy road. He was heading towards his cabin. Every year, he rents a cabin the entire week of Christmas. The blond video game designer & tester absolute detested the holiday season. It started when he was a small child. Being the middle child was never easy but when your parents dote on the oldest and youngest and leave you out, it tends to dissuade you from liking things.

Adam's parents always treated him like an outcast and before he'd even hit middle school, he truly felt like an outcast. He got a part-time job the summer before his freshman year in high school so he could buy a used car since his parents weren't helping him with that like they did his older brother. The blond took exceptional care of his car, as he did with all his possessions, and was still driving the same car today.

As he was driving along, he hit an icy patch. As hard as he tried to regain control of his vehicle, he hit a tree. His head hit the steering wheel but his seatbelt kept him from any more harm. He unbuckled himself then grabbed his phone to call for a tow truck. The nearest town was twenty miles away. 'There's no way I can walk that far in this weather!' he sighed as the snow began to get heavier. He sat back down in his car to await the tow truck. Half an hour went by before he saw any sort of vehicle on the road.

"Hello there! Are you ok?" The tow truck driver asked.

"I'll be ok. How long will it take to get hooked up to my car and to town?" Adam asked.

"Just a few minutes for me to hook up to your car. Maybe fifteen minutes to get to town. I'll bring it to our mechanic, he does great work and is very reasonable with his prices." The driver exclaimed, "Oh, I'd get anything out of your car that you want to keep with you."

Adam thanked the man, Nate going by the embroidery on his work shirt, and opened up the backseat of his car to grab his bags. He climbed into the tow truck, being careful not to slip as he did, and did his best to keep all his bags on his side of the vehicle. The driver climbed up into the cab as well then maneuvered the vehicle so he could hook up to Adam's car. As he was told, it only took approximately five minutes to hook up and secure Adam's car. Before he knew it, they were on their way to the nearest town.
