Cas had struggled with severe anxiety and panic attacks every since he was twelve years old. Lucky for him, he always had Dean by his side to calm him down. All he had to do was shoot him a text and he'd be right there.

cas: dean im not feeling too good

Of course Dean always knew what this meant.

dean: i'll be right over

Dean ran up to Cas's room to find him in a ball on the floor. His breathing was deep and heavy. "Cas, it's okay. I'm here." Dean pulled Cas into his arms and rocked him back and forth. "Hey, Cas. Just breathe, okay? I'm right here."

Cas clenched onto Dean's shirt and tried to slow his breathing down. "I can't have you freaking out now. We've almost made it through our first week!" As soon as Cas began to calm down, he started to cry. "I-I'm sorry, Dean."

"Hey, there's nothing to be sorry about. I'm always here for you, whenever you need me." Dean continued to hold onto Cas, making sure he was completely okay. "Do you know what caused it?" Cas shook his head.

"I don't know. I just haven't been feeling very great lately."

"Well don't worry. Tomorrow's Friday, and I'm spending the night. We're almost there. Just hang on a little longer." Dean looked at his watch. "Shit, it's already eleven? My moms gonna pissed if I'm not in bed. Are you okay if I leave?" Cas nodded.

"Thanks, Dean. I don't know how I'd do this without you." Dean hugged him. "Well good thing you don't have to."

....

It was finally Friday afternoon and the boys were passed out on the couch in Cas's living room. Cas was woken up by his mom walking in the house. "Hey mom," he whispered, trying not to wake up Dean. "It's okay if Dean stays here tonight right?"

"Yes, of course. Do you want me to get the extra mattress?"

"No, that's okay. He can just sleep in my bed like he always does."

"Don't you think you're a little old for that?" Cas had never thought about that. It's just what they'd always done. "I don't think so. It's fine, really."

Dean sat up on the couch and stretched his arms out. "Oh, hi Mrs. Novak," he said in a sleepy voice. "Hi, Dean. Well Dad and I are going out tonight, so you two have fun. You can order pizza."

"Okay, thanks mom!"
