Cassidy Cade

Chapter 9

Johnny's Pov

We were only about a minute from the Curtis' house. I can't believe that Angela pretended to be C's  friend then was so inconsiderate about her mental state like . . . what the hell!

I looked over at Pony which was holding Cassidy and I noticed him looking down at her. He was looking down at her with mesmerized eyes,"Hey Pony."

He hummed still looking down at her,"You like 'er, don't ya?"

He gave out what sounded like a disappointed sigh," I guess." Lifting his head he began to focus on the path in front of him instead of his crush in his arms.

I furrowed my eyebrows,"Why do ya sound sad Pone?"

"She doesn't like me back" he stated.

I gave a light gasp in disbelief,"What? What are you talking about Pone? She crazy 'bout you!"

His head snapped to me in surprise,"Angela said she likes Bryan," he said confused.

I shook my head at the comment," You're gonna believe that bastard?"

Pony hummed in agreement,"You're right. Sooo she's crazy about me?"

I chuckled,"Oh look we're here."

Walking up to the front porch I jogged ahead of Pony to open the door for him. We walked into the house and the whole gang was there, even Dal', I guess he left early or something.

When Pony came into the house I was right behind him, "Hahaha did C get hit by another car?" Two-bit slurred. I was about to get mad but then I realized he was drunk so I decided to drop it.

Steve walked in from the kitchen and hollered,"What's wrong with Shortstack?"

Pony walked over to the unoccupied couch, well, it became unoccupied when Pony yelled at Two-bit and Soda to move. He sat Cassie down and stretched his sore arms, he was carrying her for at least a mile and a half, I'm surprised he didn't need a break.

Darry stood up from his arm chair and walked towards her,"What happened?"

"She fainted, my guess was that her head was knocked loose when she got hit."

Darry nodded,"I'll get 'er a aspirin for when she wakes up." Everyone was around her unconscious body besides from Darry who went to get her medisin.  

"How long do ya think it will be until she wakes?" Soda wondered aloud.

"I don't know, maybe an hour or so?" I guessed.

Without warning Two-Bit splashed Cassie with his beer," What the hell man?!" I was furious, I lunged  towards Two I was about to beat his drunk ass but Soda and Steve were holding me back. A distant coughing snapped me out of my rage, it was Cassie, Pony was sitting next to her patting her back, her still coughing up a storm. 

"You should calm down man" Two-bit slurred," see, I woke her up."

"You better shut your trap Two" I growled.

Cassie felt her head,"What happened? I feel like I got thrown in a meat grinder" she groaned.

 I gave a light chuckle at her comparison,"You fainted behind the concession stand." I told her.

She thought then by her expression she remembered the events of the evening and gave a look of horror," I-I Oh my gosh." She gasped out. She stood up quickly only falling forward, Pony jumped out and caught her by her waist. She swatted his hand away and speed walked to the door  running out. 

Pony and I looked at eachother and ran after her I wonder what's running through her head.
