Chapter 9!

I just laid on my bed and cried for like an hour before my phone rang. Alli was Calling me. I answer, because she didn't do anything wrong so... "hello.." i say. 

"omg, Soph! are you okay?" she says.

"Does it sound like it?" i say.

"what's wrong?" she ask.

"Can you please come over? i need a friend and mackenzie won't answer my calls.. i guess she forgot about me." i say.

"yeah.. i'll be over in 5." 

"k" i say and then hang up.

I lay on my bed as tears stream down my face. I hear a knock at my door. It was Alli. "Savannah, can i come in?" she asked. "yeah" i reply. she walks in and sits down next to me on my bed.

"what happened to you, girl?" she asked me.

"well, let's see. I went to the beach for our date at 10. the time your brother told me to be there. An hour later still no cody. I can't get a hold of him. at all. do you know where he is"

"omg... yeah.. he went to do his interview at a radio station in New york.. he flew there at like 7 this morning.." she replied.

"what? why would he tell me to be there if he knew he couldn't do it today?" i asked her, getting kinda angry.

"he didn't know until like 5 this morning." she said

"so, he didn't bother to call or text me?" i asked.

"i thought he did.." she said.

"nope." i say. "But you know what? i knew going out with him was a bad i dea. he's just like every other guy." i finish.

" He said he was gonna call you right before he got on the plane, savannah. i don't know why he didn't.. i'm gonna call him right now." she said.

Ring. ring.

"hello?" i hear cody say.

"Hey, Codes. How come you didn't call Savannah to cancel your date?" she asked.

"OHMYGOSH. no! i totally forgot. i was gonna do it but i was so tired it just slipped my mind. can i talk to her really quick?" cody said worrily.

"he wants to talk to you" alli said to me.

"well i don't want to talk to him" i say.

"She doesn't want to talk to you, codes..." Alli says to Cody.

"please make her get on the phone.. Please, Alli." Cody says.

"Savannah, please talk to him" she begs. i grab the phone from her hand and place by my ear.

"Hey." i say.

"Savannah listen i'm sooo sorry!" he says.

"Save it for someone who wants to hear it, Cody." i say.

"Are you mad?" cody asked.

"oh no. this is the best day of my life. I've been to the beach the waves were really nice today.. not that you would know." i say.

"Listen, Savannah! I was gonna call you. i really was. it just slipped my mind" he says. 

"oh yeah? Well, you can let the thought of us dating slip from your mind too, because it is never gonna happen."
