Entanglement (Sequel to The Nerd)

Chapter 5

Hi Guys...

Just wanted to tell you that some chapters of Entanglement may not have a lot of action in them as they might be focusing on Jake and Hayden's relationship. In my mind Entanglement is about action and some surprises that have to come but it's also focused on Hayden and Jake. Just thought I'd tell you. Hope you enjoy :)

I slowly opened my eyes and was met by the sun that was trying to sneak into the room through the blinds. I slightly moved but not too much so then I wouldn’t disturb Jake. I looked at his wrist which was in front of me as we had fallen asleep last night with me holding the hand that I rested my head on. I gently moved my head so then I could look at the cobra tattooed on his wrist a little closely. I raised my other hand from underneath the duvet, of where it was resting on top of Jake’s arm which was wrapped around my waist. I gently traced the tattoo and then placed a light kiss on the mark after I finished.

“Mmm...” I heard Jake mumble from behind me. I slowly turned around so then I was facing him. I gently pecked his lips which he responded to straight away. When I pulled away I saw his eyes slowly open and show me those gorgeous brown eyes of his. He slowly smiled whilst looking into my eyes. “I could get used to this in a morning.” I laughed quietly at him. I wrapped my arms around his waist under the duvet and pulled myself closer to him to keep me warm. He sighed and placed a kiss on the top of my head which made me slowly drift back into a peaceful sleep. 

At least half an hour later I felt kind of lonely. When I reached my hand out I felt the bed sheets. I opened my eyes and sat up to look for Jake. Where was he? As I turned around I saw a picture that caught my attention and I couldn't help but smile. 

Flashback 

Today is the 10th of August which happened to be Jake's birthday. I had so many problems recently with trying to find him a present. I mean what do you buy a guy when they won't give you any suggestions for presents? Even though I had bought him his presents and I felt like I hadn't bought him enough I left it as I know he wouldn't be happy that I've even considered buying him something. 

"HAYDEN" I heard my mum shout from downstairs. I slipped my black dolly shoes on quickly and ran downstairs to open the door whilst my mum was cooking. Emily had tried to convince my mum for us to go over to their house for dinner whilst it's Jake's birthday but my mum had insisted on cooking the meal. I ran downstairs and opened the door to be greeted by all of the guys.

"Hey Hayden" Scott said as he pulled away from the hug he had given me when he came in. 

I slipped the latch on the door so then everyone else who came would be able to just come in. I walked into the living room followed by all the guys. Jamie wasn't with them yet as he was picking Becki up.

"Is Jake not even here yet and it's his birthday dinner?" Blake asked as we walked into the empty living room. 

"I think Jake will be a while yet seeing as he was taking all of his time when I picked Amy up to make sure he looked ok. I think he's trying to impress a certain somebody" Scott whispered the last bit so my mum didn't hear him from the kitchen. 

"Shut up Scott" I said gently pushing him out the way as I sat down on one of the couches. Scott started laughing along with Blake which made Amy hit Scott on the chest. 

"Leave Hayden alone" she said.

"Ok" he muttered. "I won't tease her in the next half an hour is that ok?" he asked her whilst giving her the puppy dog eyes.
