KEITH
Vision was blurred. Ears were ringing. Head throbbed with a sharp pain. Nausea was prominent.
I assessed my injuries as the room swayed before me.
Swayed?
I blinked my eyes open as much as I could. One was swollen shut and the other was blurred with spots of red.
I seemed to be slowly swinging side to side. I couldn't see much. The room was dark. Only a single source of light shown blinding me from seeing anything else.
Trying to move my body I could faintly make out the sounds of chains clinking over the ringing in my ears.
Something warm and sticky rolled down my temple and followed a path to my chin. More oozed out of my nose. I could taste copper in my mouth.
W-where am I?
I remember...Lance.
He had lived. I couldn't thank the stars enough that Lance had survived. I was so overrun with guilt I thought leaving would be best, but then-
I just remembered pain. Loud tires screeching, a hard surface blind siding me.
Then-
There was a man.
A knife.
I winced as I tried to recall how I had gotten here. Why I had been strung up and tortured like this.
A meek moan caused me to pause in my reverie.
I peered to my good eyes side and made out the faint lines of another human in the same predicament I found myself in.
Blood dripped onto the concrete floor beneath our dangling feet. It flowed with the dip in the floor toward a drain.
Where the fuck am I?
On cue a heavy metal door opened and three beings entered the room. Their silhouettes gave nothing away to their identities.
Two of the dark figures released the person beside me. They fell to the floor in a heap a small groan escaping their bloodied and bruised face.
Their short cropped hair was caked with dried blood.
Wait-
It can't be.
If my eye wasn't swollen shut it would have widened in surprise.
P-Pidge?
Before I could get a better look two of the silhouettes dragged them away.
I tried to yell to scream, but no sound came from my throat. I couldn't squeak like a damn mouse if I wanted to.
Dammit all! Give her back you bastards! Don't you touch her!
I jolted against my restraints in attempt to get to her. It was useless.
"Look who has finally woken up." A sinister smile was suddenly before my blurred vision.
"You really are such a pretty little thing. It would be a shame to waste you like the other trash. If you give me good information, better than your cellmate, I may just let you live and keep you to myself." He snickered.
Through hazy vision I could see he had tanned skin, and his hair was long and white. I narrowed my eye at him.
"W-wh-who *cough* who a-are *cough* y-you?" I managed to speak though I could barely breathe.
